Alright, tonight's the night starting the season. What's everyone's thoughts heading into our match-up with the Celtics? We winning?

thinking about our roster I like that we have more "3 way players" and less specialists than last yr. I think that will make us harder to defend as we have more ball handlers/creators than just Kyrie and LBJ.

Prediction: One player and/or team will have a very off night leading the media to overreact. Hopefully, it's Kyrie.

Looking forward to the season. I agree that the roster seems to be more versatile.

Go CAVS

I was going to change the thread title to the preseason thread, but for some reason OC won't let me. The last time I was the OP on the cavs thread, they won the title.

Prediction for the season:

-Cavs start off well
-Lebron purposely dicks around just so he can QQ about how the team isn't ready for the playoffs
-Team "struggles"
-Reports about lebron leaving, hating cleveland, and hating his teammates
-Trade is made to make the team better
-Team is still "struggling"
-Lebron is being passive aggressive
-Lots of predictions of East teams that can now potentially dethrone the Cavs in the East
-Lebron tells media he is happy with the direction of the team despite media reports
-Media ignores his direct quotes anyway
-Playoffs start and zero dark thirty activated
-Lebron pwns all the East teams that were listed as candidates to dethrone him
-Lose to warriors in finals and media talks about the one time Draymond was out in game 5 and that's why they even lost those finals even though they don't say anything about love being out with a concussion those finals and also love/kyrie being out the first finals.

Am I missing anything?

You forgot LBJ hitting the floor about every 10 games or so, acting like it's a season ending injury and the entire city of Cleveland collectively gasps. Only to see him get up and play the entire 4th quarter.

Go Cavs. Just gonna enjoy the ride. When I think about the Cavs without Lebron...or without him as the best player on the planet, I get depressed. So I am just going to appreciate it while we have it.

According to McMenamin he participated in shoot-around. I can't imagine he wouldn't play...

I still like Bill Simmons and his dozens of podcasts he does every week. He did one on the state of the NBA a few days ago and in it they touched on how lucky the Warriors have gotten (firing Mark Jackson/hiring Kerr, Draymond Green falling to them in the draft, being able to sign Curry to a friendly contract for as long as they did). They countered that with if Draymond hadn't been suspended for game five then maybe they're three-time NBA champs. I can't believe people forget how A) Love and Kyrie didn't play in those 2015 finals, and B) Lebron still took it to six games without them.

Cavs make trade and beat GSW in Finals.

But yeah, I'll watch tonight. Not really at all invested until the deadline though. Then not again until playoffs.

And love missed a game and a half in the 2016 finals. The same one where draymond missed a game. I guess that doesn’t count for anything.

Who cares? Next year it will be the same shit. 4-12 after three years chud will be fired along with banner and Lombardi then we will switch back to the 4-3.

Cleveland and Boston have the advantage of the fact that the entire East has been hollowed out. Probably the biggest disparity in leagues in modern pro sports history. I don't see anyone beating GSW if healthy however, they're in 90s Chicago mode rn

That video was disgusting. There is a video where they cropped the injury out and the whole cavs bench basically cringed and got out of their seats to not look.
Shit call on Rose after Irving tripped.
