The fucking thing isn't tied, why is it going to OT?GoChiefs wrote:
As for the GWC..it's part of the racing they are gonna have to get used to. It alters the strategy needed to win the race. If you are short on fuel..your ass better get in the pits just in case. If you don't, and you run out of fuel, it's nobody's fault but your own. It's just OT. Nothing wrong with it, just gives the fans a chance to see a green flag ending. Fans bitch when the race ends under caution, then they bitch when they get what they want. Can't please everyone.
I understood one for the sake of keeping it interesting, but 3 times creates a demolition derby for one (amusing the first couple times it happened this year, now it's just annoying), and it's impossible for crews to develop strategy when the ending of the race is now essentially open ended (could be anything from 2-15 laps extra including caution laps). How does anyone make a plan for that?
There is one plan to try now that makes sense, at restrictor plate tracks, if you have anything that even may be in question regarding tires or fuel, pit with 10 laps left because you'll have about 20 laps on fresh stuff to make it back up!
