Well, it will be more welcoming visually. I also plan on sending out an email blast to all past members as well, hopefully a few will stick around. The rest is on the community.

Color customization, please! I hate only having 3 or 4 colors to choose from. I don't even know if it's possible with what you're building, but if it can be done that'd be groovy.

It's possible, but lower priority. I'm sure it will happen, it will just be well after launch.

I think tapatalk is fine, but it's still pretty buggy and unnecessary if the site is built with mobile in mind.

I like the simplified design.



I'm probably the only person on here who doesn't prefer Tapatalk when I'm on my phone, but I admit that the site itself is a little annoying when it's not mobile-responsive.

I only use the site on my phone and I don't have tapatalk. I've had zero issues.

I'm currently using it on my phone. I'm not saying it can't be done or that it's particularly difficult. But at present, if you want to see the whole page, the text is pretty small, because it's not responsive.

I prefer laptop to phone. I rarely post on my phone, including tapatalk.

To be fair, this is true of me too, but I'm convinced that part of the reason I don't do it on my phone is that it's less convenient to do so.

Just to ease your mind, the site will be 100% responsive. It will look good on a phone, a tablet, and a regular sized monitor.

It's mostly responsive as of now, I just have to tweak some positioning of the user information on individual posts. In the screenshot below, the final version will be vertical (userinfo on top, post on bottom) instead of horizontal.

I see tapatalk being beneficial in two scenarios.

1. You're a member of a forum that has a crappy mobile view (see: this place)
2. You're an active member of several forums that are all available on tapatalk.

It's a lot easier to just use the site itself if it's actually built for mobile, as you'll get all of the functionality, not just what tapatalk allows.
