There are sometimes actors and actresses that are famous for one reason or another, perhaps they just happened to be in a really good movie/cheating/punching photographers/etc., but their skills just aren't that great.
Some people that automatically come to my mind are:

Ben Affleck
I just don't think he's that great of a portrayal artist. He's had some good movies which he helped to script such as Dogma, but his acting leaves a lot to be desired.

Kirsten Stewart
No facial expressions other than two. None. She's as talented as a rock.

Mariah Carey
I like her music.

Keanu Reeves

What are some actors and actresses do you think are overrated in their acting abilities?

Interesting that the industry drools over Meryl Streep, but a large majority of her films are hot garbage.

I'll give you point break. Bill and Ted's was not good acting, although I concede it is a classic. I felt like the matrix was overrated and I have not watched john wick
