Lots. None since 2013. Trying hard to drop points and insurance premiums.

  • an area of road in which hidden police detect vehicles exceeding a speed limit, typically by radar.

In my case there were at least 8 troopers waiting just over the crest of a hill and it was too late to slow down.

Interesting. I've seen that plenty of times, but I've only ever heard people refer to speed traps as the section of road immediately after the speed limit drops, where you can be ticketed simply for decelerating too slowly.

Several speeding tickets but the strangest was when I was in The Netherlands for work. Got home from this trip and 6 weeks later received a certified letter in mail from the courts in Amsterdam for $180 US dollars ....a freaking traffic camera got me just after leaving the German Autobahn and entering Netherland....Wasn't go to pay it but at that time I was supposed to go back in following year so if I did not pay, I would never be able to get a rental car, so paid up..then a few weeks later, received another notice in mail, yep another freaking camera got me as I was entering Amsterdam airport area returning rental car upon leaving the country...in all cost me about $300 almost 6 months after I left the country....

3 tickets in a month when young. Lesson learned. None since.

Been in 3 accidents, none my fault, 2 cars totaled and luckily walked away every time.

One time pulled over for being a white guy in a black neighborhood. Cop didn't realize I lived 2 blocks away. Called the chief at the time, a gentlemen that I previously worked with. He apologized and I never saw that officer on my side of town again.

several for speeding, a couple for rolling through stop signs.
