And Zimmer is running full speed around 3rd Mills waving him, the. sinmons gets to the ball and Mills has to send Zimmer back to 3rd, but Simmons throws it immediately. Didn't have a chance. Would've been better off going home, but that's on Mills. I'm not sure another SS in MLB makes that play. Maybe Lindor cause he has about the same range and first step as Simmons, but even he isn't quite as good.

The dive yesterday was dumb.
If anyone else maybe makes that play, it's Hechavarria

Love to see Bauer go 7 and close this series out strong...our hitting and pitching finally seem to be getting in synch with, and will only get better when we get Kip and Chiz back...Tribe!

One could debate Escobar, Arcia and Turner to name a few, and one could also throw in Andrus and Seager as well (of course being an Indians homer I'm partial to the aforementioned Lindor). Yes, Simmons is elite, but the botched play at third was a result of poor execution and bad third base coaching just as much as his defensive gem.

Off topic, but I thought it was pretty cool. As a graduation present for his son, one of my co-owners is taking his kid to games in Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia & Pittsburgh through next Wednesday.

Gotta tip my hat to Bauer. I thought for sure the 7th inning would be his implosion/meltdown inning, allowing runners on 2nd & 3rd with no outs but he got out of it unscathed. Tied at 1-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th....
