But, it's not.

I would have hoped that he would be bored with those antics by now and have his mind elsewhere.

If he keeps repeating the mantra over and over, it slowly moves from his opinion to a fact and then to a public stance. Then in the future whenever he is criticized, he can say "I told you so".

It's his go-to form of distraction.

You know, Obama was the first perpetual campaigner....Trump does it better. Obama used to criticize the news and unfavorable coverage (Fox)....Trump does it better.

CNN is just awful. MSNBC is better now, and they're both treading in leftwing-Breitbart territory.

Here's the problem:

Whether or not something is "too _____" or "not ______ enough" is a matter of opinion (unless we're talking actions that result in a clear, measurable objective).

Opinion is not fact. Neither is opinion news.

FFS, can we just get a news outlet?

No, because most people don't want "news", they want confirmation of their beliefs and opinions.

Even now, most liberals aren't going to remotely acknowledge their left wing sources are at least as bad as they ever believed Fox to believe. For all his faults, Trump has shown this to be demonstrably true.

Doesn't matter because the attacks on Fox News were never been about truth but about silencing the opposition (a strategy we see from the left pretty much everywhere these days).

I wonder what would happen if a news network tried to impartially report facts. "The Joe Friday Network: Just the Facts, Ma'am"

They'd probably draw the ire of pretty much the rest of the news outlets, as well as accusations of anything but impartiality.

For the most part, that IS roughly half of programming on CNN and FNC (not that there still isn't bias in story selection and time allotted). Then from 4pm on CNN, with the exception of an hour of Erin Burnett, is mostly leftwing rag. FNC is mostly down to just Hannity and Tucker for retardism.

Sure. The prime time stuff is where the slant would be needed, I'd imagine.

Disagree; I would appreciate just the news. Similarly, I would appreciate just sports on ESPN.

Because no one would watch. In the wealthy west there are no longer major consequences day in and day out from being generally ignorant of world affairs beyond daily minutiae and so we choose to be entertained and the free market responds accordingly.

But we live in a world wherein we can't even agree on what is just the news. E.g. 275k jobs reported by DOL in July 2016 = fake news and lies by liberals shilling for Obama vs. 250k jobs in July 2017 = MAGA!

Nothing is "Just News" when you have on rose-colored glasses.
