Anyone find any deals yet?
We had a list of things we were planning on buying if they had a decent discount. We picked up another Echo Dot ($35), a FoodSaver vacuum sealer, some extra sealer bags, and a cordless stick vacuum. We saved over $100 total after getting a $10 credit earlier today for reloading our gift card balance with $100. I didn't buy anything the previous two years so I wasn't expecting much this time around, but I have been pleasantly surprised.

I bought another Tap last night with the additional $10 off from ordering with our Echo. (Already have 4 Dots). Bought another portable battery charger too.

Last night I saw a 23 & Me kit for $100. That would have been nice a few weeks ago when I spent $180 on one for my wife's birthday.

Babies are due at the end of next month, so she's watching for both stuff people didn't get us, plus there's a few things we bought with gift cards that are listed as Prime deals this afternoon that we may re-buy and return the other shit since it's still unopened.

Does the Echo dot work like a blue tooth speaker? Like, "Alexa, play Nirvana." And the dot plays Nirvana?

I browsed the deals and they are much better than the first two prime days. There is nothing they have that I am particularly in the market for though.

I haven't seen any thing that has wow'd me. Amazon dot maybe if I had a "wired" house, and maybe a fire tablet if I needed but not much

It doesn't have a speaker.ernest_t_bass;1862006 wrote:Does the Echo dot work like a blue tooth speaker? Like, "Alexa, play Nirvana." And the dot plays Nirvana?
I picked up 2 Fire Tablets and a hammock.
Should have pulled the trigger on Game of Thrones. 6 seasons for 74.99

It has a speaker, it's just not nearly as good of one. I've had our Dot play music, it just sounds light years better on the big Echo. Dot is mainly meant to just be used to ask Alexa shit.superman;1862043 wrote:It doesn't have a speaker.

I bought this speaker dock for our Dot a month or so ago. I have been very pleased with its performance so far.

Is that worth it? Seems like a waste of money when this shit can be streamed with subscription.superman;1862043 wrote:Should have pulled the trigger on Game of Thrones. 6 seasons for 74.99

9mm audio cable into an amplifier. Speaker wire into the amplifier. I then have 4 speakers paced throughout the house and the wires running in the walls to them. Whole house surround sound music (which is 99% of what I use Alexa for).

I used to buy DVD's left and right. Will/would you watch that series enough to get your money's worth?superman;1862074 wrote:I'm old. I like to own physical copies of things.

I just realized one of the items I ordered on Monday night was delivered last night, and I even selected no rush shipping so I could get a $10 credit for Prime Now.
My co-worker said Amazon did $2.1B in sales over the 30 hours for Prime Day. I haven't verified that number, but he's not one to make stuff up.

I purposely stayed away. I already have a severa Amazon addiction.
Lately stuff has been getting delivered to me over the weekend, even Sunday. Does this happen to anyone else or is it due to location?

I see USPS out on Sunday's all the time, and I think it is strictly to deliver amazon goods. Must have some sort of contract.Automatik;1862143 wrote:Lately stuff has been getting delivered to me over the weekend, even Sunday. Does this happen to anyone else or is it due to location?
