Regarding Encarnacion: At what point in seasons past has he overcome his "slow start"?
This one's just about 25% in the books.

He had a 3-2 count at one point tonight and instead of trying to put a ball in play he took a cut like he was trying to send the ball to Akron.

At least he's in the AL top ten in walks.Gardens35;1853146 wrote:Regarding Encarnacion: At what point in seasons past has he overcome his "slow start"?

Along with Santana, of course.
What does that say?

Good win tonite even if it wasn't pretty. I'll be there tomorrow to root Salazar to a win.
Good news on Kluber who threw a bullpen session today.

Strikes out a lot, but was hitting well. Very fast, power hitter, fields much better than Almonte out there. I'm excited to see him out there. I'd much prefer a Brantley, Chisenhall, Zimmer of and stop all of the platooning. Wonder who the odd man out will be with Guyer/Almonte/ Jackson once all healthy.
A little more info from mlb.com:
Batting .294 in 126 at bats
43 strikeouts
37 hits, 5 hr
9 stolen bases
.371 on base percentage

Zimmer batting 9th and playing Center tonight. May have to fire in a Draft Kings lineup with him in it in case he hits 4 homers in his debut.

Indians best prospect. Top 50 prospect in baseball. He's essentially a Grady Sizemore before the injuries type player.BRF;1853307 wrote:What can you tell me about this Zimmer fellow?

Tough matchup tonight. Odorizzi has only given up more than 1 earned run in a start twice this season and not since April 9th. That included a stint on the DL, though. He's only made 6 starts and one he left after an inning.

There were many who wanted Zimmer to be kept over Frazier last year. I was 50-50. Love his upside and hope he runs with this chance, unlike Yandy so far.

Way too early to label Yandy this but I hope he's not Andy Marte. Can't get him out in AAA but never figures it out at the big level.Laley23;1853406 wrote:There were many who wanted Zimmer to be kept over Frazier last year. I was 50-50.
