With the bowl season about to wrap up, I decided it was time to update one of my little research lists that I've complied over the years. This is a list of the last time each of the 120 D-I FBS teams won a bowl game. While I've tried hard, I doubt this is a perfect list, let me know if there are corrections to be made.

Kind of amazing that Illinois hasn't won since 1999, and MSU since 2001.

You should add a "Never" category to the list. I'd be interested in seeing what teams have never won a bowl game.

This was Iowa's first bowl win in 50 years. Georgia Tech hasn't won in that time as well.

Does Notre Dame seriously claim the "Hawaii Bowl" as a win? That still is hilarious I don't care what anybody says.

Iowa beat the fuck out of South Carolina in the Outback Bowl last year, so I don't know where you are getting your information.

WTF are you talking about? Iowa won four bowl games from 2001-2009 (Alamo, Outback x2, Capital One) and Tech won in 2004, 2003, and 2001.

They were arguably the worst program in the nation from the 1960s through the 1980s. Since the 1994-95 renaissance, they've been solidly in the middle of the Big 10, but they haven't been able to get the 'W'. They lost in OT to Auburn this year; lost in OT to Missouri last year, and that seems to be the norm--coming very, very close, but not finishing it out.

I would anticipate that the streak will end in the next few years. Pat Fitzgerald is a great coach who has them moving in the right direction.

You are correct. I was being sarcastic, the folks on FOX were repeating that over and over again the other night. I should have added the smilie face

LOL, ok -- I missed that. GF made me choose a night to not watch football since it's been on at our apartment for about three weeks straight and that was the night, so I didn't catch the game.

Should have chosen last night instead (because there weren't any games on anyway).

yeah, FOX screwed that one up and made it confusing. They were trying to say it had been 50+ years since either had won a major bowl, but a few times they forgot to mention the "major" part

When you can't win anything else, a bowl win over a depleted 6-6 WAC team is about the best ND can do these days.

I was wondering when your ignorant ass would pop up. Now all we need is "PPrunner" and it's a full house.

Yea, I was referencing the season that links to, which in the case of January bowl games, is the season prior (hence, no teams listed for 2010).
