1st series of 3 on this road trip.

Game 1: 7:10PM - Bauer (2-2; 6.26 ERA) vs. Norris, Da (1-2; 4.71 ERA)
Game 2: 7:10PM - Kluber (3-1; 4.19 ERA) vs. Verlander (1-2; 4.60)
Game 3: 7:10PM - Carrasco (2-2; 2.04 ERA) vs. Boyd (2-1; 3.86)
Game 4: 1:10PM - TBD vs.TBD - Assuming Salazr for the Indians

2 lefties this series, which is less than ideal. Let's get a split and keep on truckin'. Go Tribe!

Yes, Salazar v Michael Fullmer (2-1; 3.19)

Should be an interesting test for both teams.
I'd hope the Tribe could split with the 2 LHP and not bad matchups for Tigers on the other days (I think Cleveland would be slight favorites in G2&4).

Cabrera won't be activated until tomorrow, so it won't be his whinny mug.

You never go full Bauer. I really don't like him.

Can't imagine him not being sent down at some point. I'd like to see Clevinger up for a bit to see what he can do.

Bauer not good tonight.

We should be good vs lefties with our switch hitters and EE but I just don't like our lineup vs lefties right now. Guyer isn't hitting. Jackson isn't good. I know Kipnis usually plays but Martinez doesn't strike fear into anybody.

I'd rather take my chances with Lonnie and Kipnis any day over Jackson and Martinez. Guyer has earned a longer leash but hitting lefties is supposed to be his thing.

I'd rather let Chisenhall and Almonte play almost everyday than the Jackson/ Guyer duo as well.
Let me know if this is stupid thinking (it very well could be) but could we have an outfield of Brantley/Zimmer/Diaz? I'm not sure who can play center but that seems like an offensive juggernaut, and I'd take the errors (Almonte makes some anyway). Let me know how stupid this is.

Quite honestly I thought it'd be Tomlin heading to Cbus before Bauer, but after watching TB implode yet again, he just doesn't have what it takes mentally to pitch in the bigs. Even though he has better tools physically than Josh, he just doesn't have the smarts.

I am also ready for Cleavinger for the #5 spot.

In Bauer's defense, he was victimized by some pretty shitty umpiring. He made some good pitches that just weren't called. That said, that may be a reason, but it's not an excuse....good pitchers overcome that stuff. I'd give him one more start before turning to the farm. Bauer has earned ( at least in my eyes) a longer leash....but there is some talent down in the minors that deserves a shot.

I'd think the earned part would go to the guy who actually gave the team quality post season innings as opposed to the guy who injured himself on a toy.

Bauer has a career high K rate and career low BB rate. Tribe will give him some time to figure it out. He is actually throwing the ball pretty well this season.

Bringing up Armstrong to take his roster spot. We trail 2-1. Need to get to Verlander.

Thought Encarnacion was way out of here. But, 47 degrees meant just a few steps onto the track.

I hate Miguel Cabrera. 4-1 now.
