About half of my office is at Coachella this past weekend/coming weekend. Got me thinking, on average, how many concerts, sporting events/festivals do you attend a year? What are the most memorable?
For me, I can't think of many things worse than an all day/weekend music festival. Hot, no shade, $10 bottles of water, idiots running around, crowds, horrible bathrooms, etc.... I'd much rather go to a normal concert, and even that I'm good with a 2 a year.
Sports on the other hand, I usually make it to about 5 NBA games, and 5 MLB games yr, maybe 1 NFL and 1 college game a year. Really enjoy live sports.

For the most part, I hate live concerts. Been to maybe 10 in my whole life, enjoyed 1 (The Eagles).
Sporting events, while I enjoy the comfort/cost/enjoyment of watching on my big screen...not much is more fun to me than live sports. I obviously work in the industry, so I'm at 50+ events a year. But, as a fan, I still makenit to 10+, as my schedule allows.

I go to about six-eight concerts/year. Rock on the Range is always one of them. Three full days at Crew Stadium, and you never know how the weather will be. Some years it's been 90+, others 50s or 60s. There is usually some rain involved, but I can't recall a time where it was constant. I do prefer shows at smaller venues, but RotR is one festival I will always go to. This year I have Rise Against with Deftones and Thrice, 311, Billy Joel, and Incubus on the schedule so far.
I go to 15-20 Tribe games per year and probably about five RubberDucks games. We also take a baseball trip each summer and go to one or two games. Only went to one Browns game last year. I try to make it to at least one Cavs game/year, but didn't go at all this season.

I don't attend a ton of concerts, but will go to one every year or so. I used to attend 30+ Reds games per year (high of 51 games) but haven't gone as much the last few (10ish per). I'm hoping to get to 20+ games this season.

Not a concert guy at all. Probably go to 3-5 live sporting events a year. It would be a lot more if I lived in Cleveland.

...I do probably 2 concerts a year, a couple of sporting events like the Pirates, Indians, Ohio State as well as a couple of hockey games/
Most memorable:
Ohio State vs Illinois in Champaign when they won in OT...my sons first OSU game and they went on to win the National Title game.
Led Zeppelin at 3 Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh
1979 World Series game (Pittsburgh vs Baltimore). The wife and I went to 32 games that year in Pittsburgh.
Took my son and daughter to see the pros play at Firestone. We had passes to the upstairs at the club to the Fed Ex suite and watched Tiger win.

Bands? Rarely, but I'm considering going to The XX show here in May. DJ/electronic shows? I go to a lot, depends on the time of year, but during the warmer months usually every weekend.
Live sports. I have a connect through work so I go to a few Yankees games a year. Also NYC FC. OSU, usually one a year.
For the most part, I'm done with festivals, especially in the US. The crowds suck and they are crazy expensive these days. My next one will be somewhere in Europe. They are significantly cheaper.
Coachella looks like my fucking nightmare, just 3 days of attention whoring. Also, you can only drink in designated areas. LOL

My husband hates concerts. He has no desire to see even his favorite bands or artists.

1-2 big concerts a year and 1 smaller concert per year
4-6 Reds games
I plan on consistently adding 3-4 MLB games a year at different stadiums.
No desire for NFL or OSU games. I should catch an NBA game next year though. No standard rooting team and about equal distance to Pacers and Cavs, but fuck any Pacers success.

My last big-time concert was in 1997 to see Kiss at the old Polaris Ampitheater. I was a big fan of theirs in the 1970's, and I only went this time because my buddy was in town and had an extra ticket. Man, I felt so old. At least Ted Nugent was on the bill.
I much prefer free live local music - we like to see bands at Scioto Downs and at the Hollywood Casino, and we don't mind paying ten bucks each to see Urban Jazz Coalition at Natalie's or Notes. And we try to do the Grove City Summer Sizzle 4 or 5 times each year. We've seen Joan Jett, Blue Oyster Cult, Rick Springfield, and Brett Michael at the ZucchiniFest in Obetz over the last few years.
Sports? We used to see 10 Clippers games each year, but since they moved to the Arena district we've been maybe twice.
The wife and were OSU redcoats for 15 years, so we got our fill of Buckeyes football. We've been to one game since we stepped down ten years ago.

Don't go to too many concerts, maybe once a year. Hootie always does a concert down here and we have gone for a few years now. Don't get many tours here. When I lived in Cleveland, 10-20 games when we lived in Tremont for the Indians, and a Browns game or 2. Only minor league is available now which doesn't do much for me (Yankees baseball affiliate- blah)

Concerts don't do anything for me. Only been to a couple. Trying to get down to a Reds game. Not going to anymore Bengals games while Adam Jones is on the team.

I like concerts at small to medium-sized venues. Love football but hate the crowds, traffic, etc. so they're a one time a year event, tops.
