Thanks, but I think you missed what I was saying - why the tears of relief upon being acquitted (which leaves the possibility of overturning the other conviction), and then being depressed enough to commit suicide?

I don't know, maybe he thought it would be better going to his grave murdering only one person instead of three.

Obviously a lot going on inside him, but on the surface it didn't compute.
