Ding Ding!

Only 5 other players in MLB history have done that.

From the guy with 1 homer in a 10 year career.

The year was 1978.
The same year the Tribe gave away the great Dennis Eckersley so that Manning and Eck' s wife could be together in Cleveland.

Duane "Thunder" Kuiper was the 2nd baseman. Manning on my list of least favorite Indians.

Unless something changes, Indians staring down 3 straight series losses. Not the start people imagined

I don't care for him much either, as a person and an announcer.

Not in the convo but sounds like a Duane Kuiper reference. I think he played some with the Indians but I'm going straight off of my baseball card studies from 30 years ago.

And when you put it like that, it's a miracle we are 5-7.

Apparently they figured out Tomlin is releasing the ball at few degrees more sidearm, versus over the top, in the first 2 starts. Said they know it a pretty easy fix and hopefully it's done for next start. I guess he started going more over the top towards the end of the season last year, to great success, but has fallen back into his "natural" arm slot.
