All this young talent and in the minors too and why is Bronson still around. Ditch this loser already.

I've watched a lot of MLB baseball....this is the first time I've ever worried the starting pitcher was going to get the CF injured.

Bronson is toast. Romano hasn't skipped a beat from Spring Training to AAA, I'm hoping he'll be getting a call-up soon.

I don't mind them bringing him back. But there is no reason he should be in the rotation.

Scott Feldman (like Arroyo) can't pitch longer than 4 or 5 innings. Reds pen was great, but it's been the most used pen in the league thus far. Not sustainable.

I haven't any feelings for whatever happens to Feldman and Arroyo. I'll be pissed if they are Reds in June

Zach Cozart has been replaced with a guy who knows what the hell he is doing at the plate.

He's made the stance that saves and hold stats will not factor in to his bullpen usage. He will use his top pitchers earlier than expected if it's a big situation.Azubuike24;1847988 wrote:...Price uses his closer in the 5th inning of a tie game...WTF?
Having 2 closer types helps some too.

It was baffling. He could've used Stephenson as a quasi-starter (after all, he was in contention for a rotation spot) but pulled him after 3 innings/55 pitches. He looked good too. Then, he went to Iglesias in the 5th, which pushed everyone up. It forced him to have to bat Drew Storen up 7-5 in the 7th with the bases loaded, which was a big gamble, because they can always use more runs. Luckily, it worked out, but today was an example of the old Bryan Price regarding using his pen.

The old Bryan Price would never ever ever use his closer in the 5th.Azubuike24;1847996 wrote:It was baffling. True.
And given the circumstances, he's managed the pen very well this year. However, I think he made the wrong call today and got lucky.

He may have, but the starter leaving to injury after 1 inning is never typical or easy. I'm not a Price fan but he has been better this year. Fingers still crossed very tightly.Azubuike24;1848027 wrote:True.

I hope Romano has rookie success.

Well, today Price's awful lineup construction comes full circle.
Righty on the mound, he sits Peraza and doesn't start Scooter, but plays Alcantara at 2B. Then, he hits Alcantara 2nd. Alcantara is the worst player on the 40-man roster and has shown he has no business in the majors. Lets him him 2nd over Cozart/Scooter, the 2 hottest hitters on the team.

Romano tosses 35 pitches (2 BBs) in his first inning. Hopefully he settles down and gives the bullpen a break.
