I've been wanting to get more into woodworking for a while now, but our current house just wasn't ideal for setting up a decent shop. I've got some basic equipment and have basic skills, but I'd slowly like to start upgrading my equipment and skills now that (assuming the inspection doesn't reveal anything major) I'll have the space for it.

The kind where you build things with wood?

I want a shop setup that will allow me to build furniture or whatever else seems like would be fun to build and useful. I'm also reading up on building a cedar strip canoe.

I have made cabinets and some lathe work. I would like to get better at the lathe. Cabinets are not that bad depending on what kind of joint you use to assemble them. I have bought several pieces of wood working equipment over the years. I have a lathe, table saw, a planer/molder, and jointer. I would like to get chop saw, table router, band saw, dust collector, and some better lighting. I would like to get a wood cnc type machine as well. Not sure what they cost but guessing they are a pretty penny.

I enjoy doing wood work but right now have very little time to mess with it. Hopefully in the future I will get more time to do it.
