My work crew will be making our second trip to the Brew Kettle in Strongsville this Friday to brew our own beers. A little friendly competition as we break up into teams and determine who has the best beer after it's bottled in a few weeks. This should be interesting as one of my co-owners of the company chose St Patrick's Day and the start of March Madness to do this. I imagine the place will be a zoo.

Just crossed off Nine Giant last night in Pleasant Ridge (Cincinnati). Pretty good. Nice environment/area.

I will enjoy being around the Cincy/NKY area for a long time, I believe.

Heh, my wife and I had dinner at Nine Giant last night. What time were you there? Also, did you find a place in the area?

I was there from 8:30ish to half-time of the UK bball game. Then, we went to Molly Malone's for the USMNT game. Haven't found a house yet, have some in our sights...have to sell before we end up getting a place. We have 2 months of no rush really as my wife and kids will be in Kansas until her teaching job is done for the school year.

I just stick to the alcohol. Ohio City has Market Garden and Nano Brew now, too, but I haven't been to either.

Fat Heads, Platform and Brew Kettle are other good CLE options.

I like Thirsty Dog, Hoppin Frog and R Shea in Akron.
Couple years ago, at a small bar in downtown Chicago they had Great Lakes chillwave double IPA on tap. It was so fucking good. But I've never seen it since. Is that beer around in Cleveland or did they scrap it or something? I've never seen it since that night.

Really? Damn I must just be missing it. When I go back to cinci I always look for it, can't find it.

Chicago is pretty big on Great Lakes so I'm pretty surprised I've only seen it that one time.

It's a seasonal that comes out once a year in February I believe. Use to be called Alchemy Hour years ago.
