Like, that’s actually real.

Not to mention that permission makes zero difference if they bumped uglies.

"I had permission to commit statutory rape on their daughter."

Nope. No, you didn't.

I believe in a number of states 16 is the age of consent. Not that it makes it OK or less creepy.

Ah, yeah. Forgot about that. Hell, I think that's even the case in Ohio.

Not an accident the question/statement chose 16 specifically. I believe he's been accused of diddling a 14-yr old.

In 1979 Alabama? You're fucking drunk if you don't think it was real.

You saying it was real that a 30-year-old man would ask a mother to date her 16-year-old daughter?

I'm not saying it's not real to generally ask a parent to date his son/daughter, but if you're nearly double her age, you're not asking.

Alabama. 1970s. Obviously not condoning it, but if you honestly think it wasn’t commonplace at the time/place, I’m not sure what else to tell ya. I’m pretty good friends with several dudes from Alabama, and I’ve heard some shit from that time that would curl your toes.

Parents would literally auction their daughters off, if they thought it was a potential leg up.

Hell, if that was a thing, I stand corrected.

Also, Alabama in the 1970s was officially gross if this was a thing.

Wait, didn't he get fired from Trump's cabinet? Or is he still in there?

Either way, my statement stands about the guy. Bad hombre.

To give an idea of how biased the media can be, I flipped over to Fox News right at 7 CST and they led off the show with a new surveilance video of a parking lot during the Vegas Shooting. And next story was about the left wanting to put up statues of liberal politicians but want to take down Christopher Columbus and George Washington statues.

I flipped over to CNN right at 7, as well, and they led off with the Roy Moore abuse story and haven't stopped covering that and it's 7:25.

I never watch news media stations, and that is why. It's so fucking biased.

I can understand how public opinion can be swayed, and i do think it's hard for victims to come forward. But I'm not quite ready to give up on innocent until proven guilty just yet. I don't care if we're talking about Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, or Harvey Weinstein.

I can very well believe that Moore asked permission to the girl's parents. In the south.

Remember, Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old cousin in 1958:

The South: Where Being A Creepy Perv Is Cool...As Long As You Ask The Parents First.

This is the sort of thing I'll remember forever for when the site's usuals comment on how weird certain Blue states are.

Lets all remember....these are 30 year old accusations. Interesting things only come to light when someone has something to gain from it. If its true he should be in prison....if its not true and these accusations ruin someone....accused should be in prison.
