If Kaepernick were white he'd be a "ham 'n egger" and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Ok spare me the Kaepernick talk.
TJ Ward cut, we need depth there
Eric Winston also cut, not sure he still has it for Oline depth.
And panthers cut Andy Lee, who they gave us a 2018 4th for last year lol.

Browns trade the 6th rounder they got for Gilbert back to the Steelers for Sammy Coates and a 2019 7th rounder. Not a bad flier. Dude is fast but not very good at catching.

Drops the ball a ton like you said, but worth a 6th.

I won't be surprised if Coates is a good pickup for the Browns

In the "take this for what it's worth/I want to hear about this guy about as much as Johnny Manziel" department, a poster on the OBR claims to have spoken with Josh Gordon recently and Gordon told him that he feels he will be reinstated by the Indianapolis game and "hopes" to play. Don't shoot the messenger as I'm just passing along info. The thread is over on the OBR if interested. I'll believe it when I see it.

Can't be much worse than the current crew at that position.

I've legit never heard of any of these guys and I consider myself a draft enthusiast.

Kasen Williams had the best preseason of any receiver supposedly. Was on Seattle. Would be shocked if he's better than some of the clowns we have. The rest are probably nobody's

Heard the browns have had a great preseason.

Cannot go 23-0 without first going 4 -0 in the preseason. Bengals missed their window. Ravens and flacco are passed their primes. Bell holding out, Ben one mediocre, or is it meaty okre, hit away from retirement and a defense who couldn't stop the running attack of Polk High.

With the Cavs getting a huge trade and finally able to get over the warriors hump next year and the Indians likelu WS championship it looks like Cleveland will be the new city of champions soon. You even got Pittsburgh to sign Joe "burnt toast" Haden to a huge deal. Things are looking up in The Land.

Enjoy it cleveland, you deserve it

Weird that Browns claimed a qb and currently have 4. Kessler probably getting the boot

Agreed. Guys over on the OBR were pretty happy about the Davis & Williams pickups. They also felt Jordan should solidify another championship for Lebron. ;)

Found this interesting:

Official cap space as Week 1 begins: Top 3:
49ers: 64.2M
Browns: 61.8M
Jaguars: 35.3M

The gap from 2-3 is crazy! Must be opening space to resign Kizer.

They were discussing the Browns cap space on the radio this morning. After the Greco release, apparently some of the geniuses in the Cleveland media are insinuating the Browns are tanking/mot trying to win because they're not spending their money. Two of the three higher paid positions (pass rusher/QB) are rookies, with the third (LT) already being paid well in Joe Thomas. Should Kizer/Garrett ball out, I'm sure they will get paid well in their second contract and a lot of that space will get eaten up.

There's not going to be a lot of money thrown around when the team is as young as they are. Would've been nice to keep guys like Schwartz and Pryor but those guys wanted to shop around and, I believe , took less money.

Cleveland's getting excellent value for their premium positions and when it comes time to resign them, Thomas will likely need replaced at an excellent value. We win some games this year and the FA's will come. Things are looking up in Cleveland.

I really don't get articles like this. Are the Browns headed to the Super Bowl this year? Very likely not but I don't get this "tanking" bullshit. I'm actually pretty bullish on what they've done. Releasing Haden, Greco, Osweiler and trading the revolving door, Cam Erving, is far from giving up on the season before it starts, imo....

The trophy would give the Browns, Jets, Bills and any other dedicated tankers something to play for aside from the first pick in next year's draft. Many of these teams are so Moneyball-damaged that they will trade away the top pick anyway.

An unprecedented number of teams threw in the towel on the 2017 season before it even began. The Browns released cornerback Joe Haden and guard John Greco, traded offensive lineman Cam Erving for a fifth-round draft pick and flushed Brock Osweiler (and nearly $16 million) down the garbage disposal. The Jets traded defensive terror/resident malcontent Sheldon Richardson for a second-rate receiver and a second-round pick. The Bills gutted their roster of Sammy Watkins, Ronald Darby, Reggie Ragland and Cardale Jones in an August-long fire sale

1. I don't give a fuck if the Browns tank. I wasn't expecting much from them at all this season.

2. It seems a lot of people are citing Haden, Erving, and Brock has giving up on the season. Using all 3 as an indictment on the Browns. This is how you know the "experts" don't really follow the Browns. If they did, they would know all 3 are trash.

Following "experts" on twitter has only made me realize they're idiots just like most people and don't deserve their positions. Also, most Browns beat writers aren't worth a damn thing other than breaking news. Their opinions are just as dumb as everyone elses. Watching Grossi cry over Haden was pathetic at best.

I think Pat Mchamahon (dgaf about spelling), the ESPN Browns correspond is creeping up as the worst.

McManamon or whatever? Yeah. I don't see him very much luckily.
