Yeah, this is the part I was referring to when I said tax cuts are easy to get behind, and for the very reason you mentioned.

However, if the tax cuts aren't coupled with comparable spending cuts, the nation's governance will become bankrupt, and all that money that has been put back into the people's hands will have little value.

Honestly, this has been my biggest motivation to get into cryptocurrencies, because they inherently don't rely on an entity with the ability to manipulate them to the same degree (or the incentive to do so).

You are 100% correct. However, tax "cuts" don't have to necessarily mean less revenue. And I don't agree that's the right measure. Repubs spend a little less, tax a little less. Dems tax a little more and spend a lot more. I'm not sure who is worse.
