I'm so bored with the Kaepernick story. Yesterday Mike Wilbon made the statement that it's because he is black. He said that the NFL owners are like plantation owners and they don't like when their black players stand up for themselves or issues pertaining to black people. It's crazy to me.

Andy Dalton did a cool thing today. Our 6th grade students today took a field trip to Paul Brown Stadium for a tour. Dalton was in the stadium with various other players getting a workout in. He decided to stop in a join the tour and posed with pics for about everyone. One kid had a selfie stick and Dalton took a selfie with all the kids. Half of the kids didn't even know who he was but those kids (who simply don't get out much and none had ever even been to a game) He even posed with all of the parent chaperones.

The league shortened overtime from 15 minutes to 10 yesterday. Bet we see a few more ties.

I don't see the purpose with their current rules. An 8 minute possession resulting in a FG....they happen. Other team would have to be in a hurry up of sorts. IMO takes some of the fairness out of that OT procedure.

NCAA has the best overtime format. I'd take that and move the starting position back to the +45 yard line to take in account better kickers.

I agree. I've thought the NFL's has been stupid for a long time and they've done nothing but make it even worse.

I am sure the OT change is for the sole purpose of Goodell pretending he cares about player safety. He can go fuck himself.

I am with everyone else who wants college style starting at the 45 yard line.

We have heard a lot about the length of games, trying to get them shorter without compromising commercial time. I thought this might be related.

There's always a motive with Goodell. He's probably thinking "we'll shorten the overtime to 10 minutes...BUT, SURPRISE.....we're extending the season to 18 games...two of which will be played in Europe!"

One of my former students was at the Future concert the other night and Pacman was with Burfict in the same row....both posed for pics though Burfict wasn't too thrilled.
