Dallas can also have whoever they want out there on coverage. It's not a normal FG attempt.Con_Alma;1832847 wrote:...because on the free kick rule the defense can return the ball if it doesn't reach the back of the end zone. I think Dallas just wanted to get into the locker room at that point.

Agreed. The kicking team would actually line up like a kick off and can either drop kick the ball or kick it from a tee.

Yes they can. Drop kick or from a hold. If you meant no they can't with the tee, my apologies. No tee in the NFL. My head was still HS. It would have to be with a holder or a drop kick.

Yeah, no tee. And a drop kick would just be dumb IMO.Con_Alma;1832851 wrote:Yes they can. Drop kick or from a hold. If you meant no they can't with the tee, my apologies. No tee in the NFL. My head was still HS. It would have to be with a holder or a drop kick.
I could easily see a FG getting there though.
Edit...maybe not EASILY lol.

Dallas got the stop it needed. Now it's time to ride Zeke to the end zone.

...dumb in today's game yes but drop kick being part of the rule kind of lends to how long that has been in place. You don't see the free kick exercised very often. I remember Doug Flutie drop kicking once from a regular scrimmage play I think.

Dallas going about it casually. They are still down 8 and now under 6 minutes. Can't assume that 2 point

For fuck sakes move on. Jesus Christ. Incredibly interesting football game with huge stakes and you are bombarding about a 73 yard FG.

All tied up...Green Bay defense is dead and their receivers are getting off contact well or even selling out for ball which cost a critical interception.
Rodgers ball 4:00 left...tie game.

It looked like Cover 1. He should have only had to beat the safety since they spread out the D. I liked the decision....Lol. It's easy to say now since he made it.wildcats20;1832858 wrote:Never in a million years did I think I would see a QB draw on a 2 pt.

Davante Adams just hurt his knee on the 41 yard line....that's quite unique, let's discuss.Con_Alma;1832864 wrote:Bombarding??? O.K. It was a pretty unique situation.

It won't be a 73 yder though Ironman.

Packers smart enough to run clock down appropriately?

Great play there.
Gonna be 2:00 left 1st down on 45.
If I'm Cowboys I'm selling out full for a running play trying to get clock down....then force a passing play to get 1st down.
If I'm Green Bay I want plays to get first down without stopping clock...keep it on field and probably have to do 5-7 yard passes.
So many teams sling it deep and score with 1:20 left and the other team seems to score every time. This should be Packers win or OT

Can't do that. Good call. Packers need another first down to force timeouts

Just dumb play calling....fake the obvious run and pass for 7-8 yards. It's always open. Just so dumb. Now they need a good play just for a long FG and then hope defense
