Anyone been sick lately? I don't pay much attention to the "there's a nasty bug going around..." discussion because it's winter and theres always something. Just seems like this year has been particularly bad. Some respiratory crap has been hindering a lot of people I know for a few weeks now. My wife came home from work Monday with N&V and that's been killing my household the past couple days. My daughter started an early childhood preschool in December and I think she's missed more days than she's attended.

No. I get a cold about once every four years and I've never had the flu. I had a stomach bug in like 2011, and the time before that was 2001. I am probably jinxing myself, though since I just spent 2.5 days in a house with my best friend, who is sick and sounds like shit.

Nope, surprisingly I didn't get my annual Fall/winter chest infection. I'm sure it will come during the weather change into Spring.

I had teh cough and phlem for about 2 weeks. Cough was annoying but felt fine otherwise. It's rare, on par with fab, that I get really sick. In my working life (over 15 yrs now) I've taken 5 sick days and 4 of those were for appendix removal surgery.

I've been healthy for a couple years now. Hell, didn't even use sick time last year at work. I was worried I was catching something because I felt mildly under the weather Sunday-Monday after New Year's Eve, but I think I was just run down from all the "out with friends" stuff I'd been doing because after not going out for a couple nights, I feel good again.

I got the intestinal flu just before the holidays, it when around the family for a few days only lasted 24 hours. Wife has a cold now and stuffy nose. I condition myself for winter, I don't wear heavy winter jacket, I do keep my feet warm and dry, i wear lighter jackets with layer sweaters/ wool shirts avoid getting to hot under the jacket. Never wear a hat but keep my neck covered/ protected and I do wear gloves deerskin glovers only for protect from the cold.i do spend a lot of time outside.

Normally if I get sick at the very worst it's a lingering head cold. However, the previous two xmases I woke up early morning to puke my brains out and proceed not to eat for 48 hours. A quick 48 hour bug and then I'm back to normal. I guess my immune system was not ready to be exposed to whatever the fuck my niece(s) had going on. This year (knock on wood), I didn't get deathly sick, but my niece(s) gave me a mild cold. Lasted about 4 days.

I enjoyed that.

Hope to feel better by saturday night as we were going to try the HydePark steakhouse in pittsburgh to see if it is really better that Texas Roadhouse, but if feeling like shit I wont waste the $$$

Missed yesterday. Coming out the back end from 3am Wednesday till 11pm. Started feeling better around 9am today so went in to the office. Stomach issues are gone, still feel a little shitty. Plenty of fluids and rest yesterday.
