I only spent about $55 but bought a silverware set that to the eye at least looked pretty nice and I knew what they had definitely needed replaced. When my wife's sister in law opened it up she had the perfect look on her face and teared up...so I felt really good about going out and getting that for them.
On an even softer not my awesome grandma passed away on the 21st and had been in the hospital the prior 4 days and limited to just one room for a couple weeks.....after her services yesterday we went to Dad's for a late Christmas and there was a card for my family with the typical amount of money she gave us written onto a check and a short message from her in her handwriting. It was very special and this was pretty hard to type.
That sucks dude and know exactly how that would feel. That happened a few years ago. She passed in September but knew it was coming and wrote notes with a check to each grandkid. To read it after one passes just.....really gets to you.
