This Christmas seem to be the most fun to play with was BB 8

I got an awesome Trump Winery set.

Nothing real exciting here but my wife's family doesn't have much but both work. I only spent about $55 but bought a silverware set that to the eye at least looked pretty nice and I knew what they had definitely needed replaced. When my wife's sister in law opened it up she had the perfect look on her face and teared up...so I felt really good about going out and getting that for them.

On an even softer not my awesome grandma passed away on the 21st and had been in the hospital the prior 4 days and limited to just one room for a couple weeks.....after her services yesterday we went to Dad's for a late Christmas and there was a card for my family with the typical amount of money she gave us written onto a check and a short message from her in her handwriting. It was very special and this was pretty hard to type.

Sorry about your Gma. I lost my Gma a couple months ago (was extremely close to her). My mom got myself and my brothers for Christmas Neck Tie pins made of white roses from her funeral. It was easily my favorite gift.

My daughter got my wife and I tickets to see Boyz II Men, NKOTB and Paula Abdul. I'll like it more than I should and my wife will be in heaven....I thought she did real well picking that out.

That sucks dude and know exactly how that would feel. That happened a few years ago. She passed in September but knew it was coming and wrote notes with a check to each grandkid. To read it after one passes just.....really gets to you.

Given? I got my parents a gift card to Monterey Bay Fish Grotto in Pittsburgh. It's on Mt. Washington and has awesome views of the city. They rarely go out for "fine dining" so I was happy to get them something different.

A few months short of 90.

I love giving gifts....best reaction I probably got was when I got my wife Adele concert tickets last year because she knew how hard it was to get them. She was pretty excited about tickets to see Hamilton in Chicago which was this year's gift. I can't think of any gift that had me overwhelmed....maybe a Nintendo back in 1988?

Took a huge gamble on a gift I gave this year to my gf...

She has been talking for a while about wanting a Fitbit, but she hadn't said much lately so I really didn't know if she was still interested. Got her the cheapest one (Zip) and told her before she opened it we could exchange it for something else she might want instead. I knew I was risking the whole "You think I'm fat" response (which, btw, she is not), I just knew she was interested earlier in the year. So she LOVES it! She had looked into getting one but was too intimidated by all the styles and was so happy I picked one out for her. Score!

A couple other things she really liked:
• Ultra soft flannel sheets (I highly recommend giving these at Christmas time!)
• A tool kit (screw drivers, tape measure, hammer etc. all in an "It's so Cute" soft-sided carrying case)
• Photo album of pics from all the places we visited during 2016. Its become a tradition that she gets a photo album each year and she absolutely loves and cherishes them all.

All in all, it looks like I did pretty good this year... she even liked the new windshield wipers she got for her car!

My favorite people to buy for are my nieces and nephew. The two oldest recently moved to California, so I wasn't able to watch them open gifts like usual, but word on the street is that they liked them. My other niece is only a year old, so she was more into the packaging than the actual gift, lol.
