I do find it odd that nobody else was in the room with a gun to shoot him down immediately. Normally when this type of shit happens, the assailant is taken down immediately. This dude had a full monologue after he assassinated the ambassador.

There usually isn't that much security for an ambassador inside his own embassy. The guy who shot him WAS the security guard assigned to protect him.

Now how this guy got that responsibility is the question that needs to be asked. I'm not sure how we are supposed to stop workplace violence though.
