Had this discussion with a friend today. What is the GOAT Christmas movie?
Elf and A Christmas Story are tolerable for me about once a year.
Home Alone and Home Alone 2 I'll stop and watch for a bit whenever I come across.
The Santa Claus movie(s) are trash.
IMO, the GOAT is Christmas Vacation.
I haven't seen too many others.
Your thoughts?

Christmas Vacation and Home Alone are the only 2 I will sit and watch.
Elf was funny when it came out. Now, IMO, it's annoying. I've never liked A Christmas Story, although it's a classic.
All the newer ones are sappy and mainly chick flicks.

Bad Santa. I hear the sequel isn't any good. But the original is a great movie that I watch at least once per year.

Christmas story is gold, regardless of how many times it's on. Home alone is classic as well.
And Christmas Vacation is great.

Surprised we haven't seen the usual "Die Hard" response.
I'll add another vote to Bad Santa. It was dumb for them to make a sequel.

Ill watch Christmas Vacation at least once a holiday, and you can not avoid the Christmas Story.
The Original Cartoon Grinch is a must watch, and a Charlie Brown Christmas, not movies I know, but timeless classics. Having a 3 year old son now, I finally no longer feel strange watching them or recording them when they come on.

Lethal Weapon.
If Die Hard is considered a Xmas movie, so should Lethal Weapon.
