Remove the gender distinction and replace it with a sex distinction.

This thread is just asking to be sidetracked, but to answer your question in the short time we have left - none. That is certainly a strange story. Actually stranger than most, which is no mean feat these days.sleeper;1826961 wrote:To sidetrack a bit, what incentive is there for male athletes to identify as a male? Obviously not for the pros because women's sports pay nothing, but for college admission and scholarships it makes a lot of sense to compete as a man against girls than a man against boys.
Even marginal male athletes would dominate the women's game and snatch up spots meant for women in college. It'll be interesting to see the SJW clash on women's issues and trans issues; just like how SJWs defend Islam despite it being regressive as hell towards women and gays.
As a matter of fact, Sports Illustrated did a feature on some female athlete during one of the Olympic years, maybe ten years ago. The woman said she "identified" (first time I'd heard that) as a male, wanted to be addressed as a male, and competed against men in college in whatever sport she was in, and apparently had registered herself as a male with the NCAA. In addition, she let it be known that she had no intention of undergoing sex re-assignment surgery.
However, when it came to the upcoming Olympic trials, all of a sudden she wanted to compete as a female, because she knew wouldn't have had a chance of success otherwise. She said it would unfair to expect her to compete as a guy in such an important event. And she made that be known to the reporter without any trace of embarrassment, apology, or irony.
In other words, she likes to dress up and play at being a guy and be treated as a guy most of the time, but only on her schedule - otherwise, she wants to be a woman, and wants to be treated as such.
Now, as you all were - down the rabbit hole!

The solution to this is you get a one time chance to 'correct' your natural born sex. If you are a born a guy, and you feel that you are a woman, then you are now a woman but no going back to being a guy.Zunardo;1827041 wrote:This thread is just asking to be sidetracked, but to answer your question in the short time we have left - none. Probably too harsh because feelz > realz, but that is the new America for you.

Curious if you asked and got a response from Refman over at Yappi, or posted on some of the other national wrestling boards? What does themat have to say on the subject....

Well, my first meet was last night and of course it happened.
Fortunately, the coach was on top of it and told me he was going to have the female trainer weigh him/her in separately. Fine by me.

I have not heard the faucet/drain analogy before, kind of funny.O-Trap;1827019 wrote:Remove the gender distinction and replace it with a sex distinction.

Go to yappi.com wrestling forums and there is a sticky thread "Ask the Ref", I would ask the question in there.
