Secretary of Agriculture = Heidi Heitkamps D senator form ND

This is a political move because it forces a special election for the Senate seat she will vacate with the belief that Rep Kevin Cramer who was an early backer for Trump can win it.

The shit with the CIA is just wrong ad scary.
https://twitter.com/CBSEveningNews/status/807413762231824384/photo/1

Does he really believe nothing the CIA has done since 2003 and the 2004 IC law matters? Would he believe any intelligence from the IC or believe it is all political and tainted? Way to throw the IC under the bus, fucking idiot.
If so, where the fuck is he getting his intel where he is making decisions and who are those sources?

There is also the dumb ass statement as this was the largest electoral victory in history. No, it is not. Obama got more in 2008, Clinton in 92, and 96, and Bush in 92. So, no Trump team it was not one the largest in history.

What a shity ass statement and I surely hope his team walks it back.

Oh, and on the SECSTATE pick, the company did a lot of business in Russia and he met with Putin a lot. Does not help the image that Trump is pro-Russia.

So it improves the program's finances, and this upset MSNBC why? It has modest benefit INCREASES for the lowest earners - again why is this upsetting? And so it cuts benefits of everyone else, while also cutting taxes for those people. Again, sounds very upsetting.

Just looks like window dressing that doesn't really address structural problems of SS. But it's something for conservatives to falsely cheer, and something for liberals to falsely cry about.

Why would I as a conservative cheer? It's my money I paid into it, why would I want less and have to take it later? Why would I think poor people need MORE benefits?

First off he said "one of the biggest wins in history" not "the biggest".

Secondly why is it now bad to make friends with Russia? I bet you weren't crying up a storm when HC tried the stupid reset button. I would rather have this president make friends with Russia then ignore them like Barry did. Putin ran all over him while Barry was making friends with the wrong people like Iran.

Remember you voted for Barry because he seemed "strong on foreign policy"........ how did that work for you?

If being productive in your mind is collapsing our financial and housing markets less than a decade ago, then yes, these were very productive people.

Well, it was not one of the biggest either. It ranks well down the list in terms of recent history. Plus the guy lost the popular vote by 2.6 Million. Either way, it is a dumb statement.

I'm all for a tough yet open stance with Russia, but Trump seems all in to embrace Russia and not even acknowledge they played a hand in hacking here in the U.S. That is the problem. He does not even acknowledge the Russians even hacked us. Nor does he even accept the CIA statements or any thing else from the IC.

I also do not want a former oil exec to be in charge of State. The potential conflict of interest there will oil deals is too much of a risk. Oh, and the neocon John Bolton as Deputy SECSTATE is a huge red flag.

No dumber than you people continuing to reference "winning" an irrelevant and uncontested "popular vote."

If any concrete evidence is ever borught to light that they did play a hand, maybe he'll acknowledge it then.

To what "CIA statements" are you referring? All I've seen is hearsay from reporters quoting unnamed sources. Did the CIA issue a statement that I missed?

The IC has it's problems and needs to be reworked. They aren't the untouchable golden child to be relied upon without questioning them and their position in the world of politics.

The IRTPA following 9/11 has created a mess. The Office of the Director of National INtelligence has created a huge layer of bureaucracy with way too many people and that has made our intelligence analysis and the collection of intel way less efficient and more risk adverse. I don't liek risk adverse from our intel divs. The fear of being wrong and the internal political blowback and career setback right now in the IC group is ridiculous. It's a bunch of yes men who pat each other on the back. It's got to change and quickly.

I hope Mr. Trump is laying the groundwork to eliminate the ODNI.

LOL at the whole Russia paranoia. I remember the criticism of Bush for his missile defense plans in Poland/Czech Republic and people getting their panties in a bunch because it might piss the Russians off. Let us not forget Hillary's gay reset button. Or Obama telling Medvedev that he will have more flexibility after the election. Then you had Obama taking Romney to task for saying Russia is our greatest geopolitical foe. But hey let's wring our hands over Donald Trump.

+1000

but easier to blame Russia then your policies for Trump's election.....not to worry - blame Bush for Obama's failures, and credit Obama for Trump's successes

I would never have voted for him, and truthfully I'm concerned with where my portfolio will end-up 4 years from now.

But secretly this is why I was hoping he might win. Never seen liberals shut up quicker than when you interrupt their Trump rant - and there's A LOT of ranting - to point out this is the same thing they attacked people for with Obama....except those people generally waited 18-24 months,,,,and you called them racists.

OMG he's going to make gay marriage illegal! Sorry to break the news to you, but the vast majority of the millions of underemployed and unemployed who voted for Trump give 0 shits whether or not you can sign a piece of paper. They would literally buy you a dildo so you could go fuck yourself.

I've never been impressed by him as a business leader - I've said real estate is a different animal from running other types of businesses.

And no leader worth a damn I've seen would place such a premium on loyalty and surround themselves only with like-minded individuals. Seems to be building a personal "yes man" circle of validation.

Agreed. Moreover, it's certainly easier to run and grow a business that was built for you than it is to start and build a business from the ground up.

Agreed. Seems like the best leaders I've known always have had at least a couple people around them that are willing to go toe-to-toe with them over matters with which they disagree. Moreover, they pick people whose strengths and values are different from their own.
