On the topic of discussing the military, why are the ones who are most cockstrong on the topic end up serving zero days? It's weird.

You probably do keep up the lie to get a free meal. Sad.

You would have to ask GI Faux.

I am more concerned with someone who is supposedly an adult thinking that president is the commander and chief of our armed forces Big difference between a typo and stupidity. I'm not surprised you don't understand. Kind of expect stupidity from those 2. My fault for using subtle humor.

There in lies the problem. Nobody thinks Stuporman is funny.....But they do know he is an asshole.

I see two types who get extra chubby on the topic.

1. People who served, but whose personalities crave adulation, and they don't mind using their service toward that end.

2. Those who didn't serve at all but want to appear to come down on the same side as they believe those in the military do (because they treat those in the military as just one big homogeneous monolith).

Meh ... I know there should be more to say on this, but US politics are in such a shambles now, that it's about as newsworthy as a punch thrown in a street brawl.

And I think anyone with a brain knew it'd be more than the die-hard Rs thought (nothing-burger) and less than what the die-hard Ds thought (EVERYONE! WILL! FALL!), leading to an ambiguous situation where both sides would both claim victory and complain about how some form of corruption kept it from being a total victory while blindly listening/reading whatever their favorite online/TV "tell you just what you want to hear" personalities regurgitate.

No matter how outwardly unpredictable things seem to be, it's still pretty predictable when you pull away the layers.

I don't know, you don't get much more "nothing burger" than tax fraud for unrelated business dealings (which he was under investigation for since 2012) that had nothing to do with the campaign.

Could want Manafort to flip. Manafort has got to be "Campaign Supervisor" or whatever.

I am not impressed with the Trump team's use of email:
The government notes that the official forwarded defendant PAPADOPOULOS's email to another Campaign official (without including defendant PAPADOPOULOS) and stated: "Let[']s discuss. We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal."
I can only imagine the fury if that said BHO or HRC???

It's really the only reason I can think of to go forward with such a sketchy indictment. It's at least 50/50 that some of the evidence would be ruled inadmissible anyway, seeing how the search warrant was executed.

I can't imagine that Manafort even knows that much...hell wasn't he only with the campaign for like 3 months or something? This honestly smells to me like Mueller is having trouble finding dots to connect, and is throwing the long ball to try and shake something loose.

I tend to agree on the dots to connect.

My thinking is that they have a theory of the case but that they probably wouldn't be able to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt that could get past a jury unless a guy like Manafort spilled all of the beans and described in detail how any theorized conspiracy would have worked.

In any case is that really justice where a guy like Mana fort who has made a living being a pass through for corrupt regimes, etc. ends up getting off easy for being a rat in this whole thing?

No, it's not justice. Unfortunately it is what our political world is. Both sides of the aisle perform shenanigans everyday and get away with it everyday. At this point I don't see it ending nor do I even see a way to put an end to it.

Fire each and every elected official...every one of them....from POTUS on down.

Cut out the cancer to change the culture. Elect those who want to do the work for the greater good of all, regardless of political party.

And how will we know/find those people?
