The irony of Bill Clinton using this term pegs the meter.

COA literally just repeating anything he reads. Shocker.

Same shit with my liberal friends in DC. If it hits the news cycle (fake news, Russia, angry white men, etc) you know it's going to come out of their mouths. It's very predictable and it's coming from intelligent people.

What about your conservative friends? Completely knowledgeable and accurate? Not repeating anything from the news/social media?

I think they're the ones who've been in a state of butt-clinch the last eight years and now are being all like "MAN UP AND ACCEPT IT!!! WE WON; YOU LOST!!!!" despite spending a really long time convinced that Obama was a secret Muslim from Kenya out to destroy America or whatever stupidity they were believing that's along the exact same level of "WHOA, WHAT?!?" that the more "out there" anti-Trump people are saying.

That's what I'm finding amusing: the people who cried the loudest and most under Obama are the first to laugh at "liberal tears" now.

It's been a total shitshow from both sides and it pains me with others fail to realize it. Not pointing at like_that....just in general.

"Fake News" is the trendy topic to be outraged about.

ENJOY THAT FAKE NEWS SHEEPLE!! *counters argument by posting a Breitbart article*

I actually have more liberal friends in my every day life than conservative lol, but I call them out on it too. Especially the ones who have supported some of Trump's actions.

I.e bullying Carrier. I tell them they are being intellectual dishonest if they are ok with trumps protectionism approach, because they would be railing on Obama if he did the same exact thing.

I've only had one intelligent friend send me a garbage source (the blaze) and I told him to find me a neutral source or gtfo.

Overall I don't play the partisan game. I was very unhappy with the GOP prior to the election and trump winning doesn't make it better. My views line up with Matt Stone "I hate conservatives, but I really fucking hate liberals." Couldn't say it better myself.

Lol, yeah, those sites are less "sources" and more "SAFE ZONES for far-left and far-right people to congregate with like-minded people and pretend they're the only sane ones in an insane world".

Just because something is biased, doesn't make it wrong.

People confuse biased news outlets with actual "fake news."

Fake news is a huge issue. People being stupid is a much bigger issue.

This is true, but biased news being true is a blind squirrel scenario when it comes to hotly-debated issues.

Maybe y'all are seeing something different, but I think conservatives are pointing out "real" news that is just dumb as fuck and calling it fake news to point out how dumb a lot of journalism is. I'd have to say that real journalism is basically dead in the US for the most part. I'm sure there are the handful of journalists who try to find real stories, but 99% of shit is click bait and a story just to have something for people to click on.

There's bias with your mainstream news sources on both sides of the spectrum.

Fake news is entirely BS from the start. From the article to the domain. It's primary goal is to spread false, fabricated information to the masses.

Fake news has been around for 5+ years. I find it interesting that it's suddenly a "huge issue."

Someone can correct me if my opinion is way off base, but I find the biased news outlets as having some sort of unintentional relationship with fake news, in that in a world where two outlets (Huff Po and Breitbart, as they've been the ones mentioned here) can report on an event in ways that are so different that a person needs to double-check to make sure they're reading about the same event with both, it's a hell of a lot easier for fake news to take hold, as it really isn't that much more "out there" than the portrayal of real news by today's outlets.
