Hillary hasn't admitted to being misongynistic. Hillary hasn't had multiple affairs (i guess that we know of). Hillary wasn't the one making offhanded and offcolor stereotypes. .. i mean are you really needing to know why?

I won't lie and say I'm surprised, but I should have called it. We did Sleeper's "book it" pick saying Hillary would win, which was her kiss of death.

The wannabe feminists are my favorite so far. Yeah...she totally lost because she's a woman.
I had to go to Deadspin this morning just to read the comments going with their election coverage. For every one person who showed logic, there were plenty giving off the same sort of butthurt we've gotten for eight years from QQ, Belly, etc., where they're absolutely floored the entire country doesn't look at things their way. Those people being the same people who were ripping into most of the various male writers there because when they disclosed who they voted for, many of them took a "lesser of two evils" opinion of her, rather than being super-duper-happy to be voting her in.

How in the hell did this person get 53% of the vote?

Why are we allowing felons to run for office?

Didn't matter man. At the end of the day, people just didn't like her.

BTW, this Michael Moore piece from July was spot freaking on on five reasons why Trump will win.
http://michaelmoore.com/trumpwillwin/

1. Midwest Math, or Welcome to Our Rust Belt Brexit.
2. The Last Stand of the Angry White Man.
3. The Hillary Problem.
4.The Depressed Sanders Vote.
5. The Jesse Ventura Effect.

I can't even guess why someone convicted of a financial crime, albeit a misdemeanor, would be eligible to be an official whose office handles money.

Not gonna lie...he's pretty sharp.

After him though, the bench is pretty damn empty. I mean if Julian Castro is starting out on the varsity, things are pretty damn thin.

Castro would likely be very high on the VP shortlist for whoever is the nominee in 2020

With the anger from the left after Trump's win.....Booker would have a strong chance to beat Trump

A couple of thoughts:

1) One of the reasons that I(and most people) were so confident is the data was strongly in favor of Clinton from Day 1 and leading up to Monday night. If you work for a polling firm, you may be looking for a new job come today/end of the week. There's clearly a massive flaw in polling methodologies and I daresay it's like either that polling centers have become ultra partisan and/or a majority of people surveyed said Clinton but ended up notching Trump on the ballot due to fear of being ostracized for their choice. The question "How did we miss so badly" will be studied for decades and whoever can answer this question has an opportunity to seize the polling market and become stupid rich.

2) I think the Democrat strategy of identity politics ultimately backfired right in their faces. Continuously blaming white people for all the world's problems and calling anyone who supports Trump(or conservative ideas) a racist/bigot/sexist really brought out white voters in mass against Clinton. The statistic was Clinton only got 51% of college educated white women, which is a demographic she was expected to absolutely shit stomp in giving Trump's comments/actions against women; what happened here? Where are all the people who voted for Obama?

3) I'll give credit to Trump. He spent nowhere near the money Clinton did, defied odds to win the Republican nomination, defied odds to win the Presidency, and did it by being openly racist/sexist and a general asshole. This will be studied for decades.

4) We're fucked.

Another name that some people here may not like but will be a major player for Dems in 2020:

Elizabeth Warren

Nothing. Just clarifying your statement. You stated I, as a USA American, am guilty of electing Trump. Just restating that, by your statement, we are are all guilty, including you.

This was decided the second sportsandlady said he voted for Clinton. He likes to hitch his trailer to losing causes.

I am...surprised.

I am not gonna lie, I was not going to cast a vote for President and it wasnt until a week before that I decided to give Trump my vote. At first, the Clinton commercials where they just played all of Trumps crazy things he said seemed to be a very good ploy, but after awhile my tune started to change. I started to think....maybe he is just crazy enough to be able to bring real change to the US and world. He is sooo far away from what we have been getting.

I also think DT bringing up the polls were rigged was a calculated ploy to fired up republicans who maybe werent going to vote to make sure they do so to overcome it being "rigged"

Trying to catch up, like most of you I was pretty surprised. Clearly doesn't jive with my opinions, nor do the election results jive with the America I know. I guess I'm in a city bubble. Hoping it won't be as bad as I thought, and really concerned for climate change legislative coming down the pipeline. I fear the Paris Agreements are gone.

If you truly believe he is those things "racist, sexist, etc" then you need to lay off MSNBC/CNN and research things for yourself.
