Yep, every whiny drone who looks at their personal feelz as more important than reality can look to Belly as their inspiration!

I wouldn't work in a factory if it paid $1M/hour.

That's for the trash boomers. Let them eat cake.

I read that, its got some fair points from a competitive standpoint (why we lost the election).
But, again, to me there's a moral element here, not all Trump voters are racists, bigots, etc... in fact, most probably aren't. But, at the very least, they all tolerate and voted to elevate Trumps racism, bigotry, etc...

I knew who Hillary was when I voted for her. I know what she's done. I choose to tolerate it.

Lost in all this is the Right's (including yours) and utter lack of empathy. There are Muslim and Mexican Children who watched the President of the United States (elect) denigrate them. And yet, they don't give two shits. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around this fact.

And no, Bernie would not have beaten Trump, nor did he win the primary (he got 3 million less votes).

Could it be that Trump voters were willing to ignore his bigotry and sexism to focus on issues that were more important to them, like the economy and the corruption of DC politics.

I know its shocking to Clinton supporters, but there are other issues out there than just making sure minorities and women don't get their feelz hurt.

That's how you get a Trump in the White House.
Yeah, if you look at cold, hard stats, the simple truth is that fewer people turned out for this election than when Obama won twice. Clinton also got a lower portion of both the black and hispanic vote (and the black vote was notably less than when Obama was on the ticket). Trump won the white vote by roughly the same percentage that Romney did.

Preach. Absolute worst responses from so many on the left right now. Ridiculous.

This was the basis for my Trump/GOP pick early on. 18 months ago, I said on another forum that unless the dems ran another black guy, there was zero chance that the Obama Coalition would hold, and that the GOP was an essential lock, regardless who they ran.

Once they abandoned the "uneducated whites" in their rust belt firewall to further pander to minorities/yutes who were guaranteed not to show up anyway - it was over.

BoatShoes remembers the conversation, I'm sure.

I mean really...As long as the Trump of the campaign was mostly WWE to win and a competent staff materializes...I think Trump is essentially an independent who took over the GOP.

I think he will work with both Schumer and McConnell. He is anti-Middle East boondoggle. We'll get deficit spending and tax cuts (would have been impossible with Hillary)

And maybe the dems purge the identity politics after the woeful failure. I am feeling optimistic.

For the crybabies and protesters, how wonderfully ironic that Trump ended every one of his rallies with the playing of The Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want".

Damn, is that hilarious.

"We went down to the demonstration
To get your fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't we're gonna blow a fifty-amp fuse"

"You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need"

I was waiting on that.

I really dislike pieces like this. It is just arrogant right now. Like, dude, yes we need to be more inclusive, but don't dress it up with smugness/ arrogance.
Hey, I'll admit I was wrong, but I don't paint everyone in the midwest like this dude. I know better.

Glad you saw that I was joking. But there are some others on this site who exemplify that article.
