What the hell happened? I went to a play with the wife and when we were walking back to the car I saw a score of 102-55.

It pretty clear to me that both Warriors and Cavs will enter the finals with 12-0 records. Have both finals teams ever made it there without a playoff loss?

The 01 Lakers are the only team to enter undefeated. They finished 15-1(first round was best of 5).

I can't find any other team that was undefeated going in to the Finals.

edit:
89 Lakers also entered the Finals undefeated, but were swept after Magic was injured.

I'll defer to you as I don't know the rule. Left foot was in front court. Right foot was on the line (on the celtic chin). Ball was pretty much also on the line.

Is it ball or feet that need to be all the way over?

Section X-Ball in Backcourt
a. A player shall not be the first to touch a ball which he or a teammate caused to go from frontcourt to backcourt while his team was in control of the ball.
That's the rule. Kinda vague but I believe it was the correct call.

Thank you. So location of the ball relative to the plane determines the violation.

The ball was never established in the front court because the player was still touching the mid court line. The entire mid court line is considered the back court. You have to be established in the front court, Rozier was not.

3 parts. 2 legs and 1 ball. 2/3, in any form, need to be in front court to establish. At least, for HS and college.

He was straddling the line, therefore backcourt status. All three parts (both feet + ball) need to have front court status to open door for back court violation.

If you believe it was the right call, then you are clueless. I'll wait for you to admit you were wrong. Probably wait a long time, b/c well, you're sleeper.

Right foot has backcourt status, therefore the ball has backcourt status. Does the NBA put out a report on these games and the calls? Or is it only in the last few minutes?

Is Brothers of Foster primary on that? Unsure of mechanics, Brothers (who was trail) seemed to be officiating ahead of the play and did not expect such play by Rozier.

It's an easy mistake to make. I've made that mistake that was nowhere close to as borderline as this one. Just had to put my tail between my legs and admit I was wrong, and move on.

This was a very easy mistake to make bc it was so close. Regardless, it's a mistake.

I was about to say this is dumb, why are people arguing over a meaningless play....then I thought, it was probably the most interesting thing that happened all night. So, carry on.

I mean I was wrong in my interpretation of the rules. Not going to cry about a ref missing an inch or so on the foot being still in the back court on a 44 point loss.

Isiah Thomas out the rest of the playoffs. So, two more games.

Media: Boston can give Cleveland everything it can handle! Maybe an upset!

Cavs sweep

Media: of course Cleveland goes thru the trash east without any difficulty. Isaiah being out really helped them!

Pretty much.

Couple that with the ignoring of the Warriors playing 2 series against healthy teams in the past 3 years.

Isn't this the present day media on pretty much everything?

I also see it no differently than sleeper's "predictions."
