So...who does everyone think is getting to meet Lucille tonight? I'll go with Carl.

Well that sucked. I mean the episode didn't. The episode was awesome. But it sucked.

I nominate the makeup department for an Emmy for Glenn's left eye.

Oof...I forget protocol on these threads. Are we allowed to discuss what happened or no?

Jeffery Dean Morgan did such an awesome job as the villian.

...I didn't think that Glen was going to get whacked after we'd already seen Abraham meet "Lucille" up close and personal. I agree with GoChiefs, Jeffery Dean Morgan plays the perfect psycho villain. Calling Lucille a "vampire bat" after he pounded on Glen was crazy...dammm!

Great start to the season. I guessed correctly that Abraham was going to die, but adding a second in Glenn was horrific and unexpected. Agree on the eye and Negan being a great psycho character.

Making Rick jump through hoops was awesome as well. I really thought he was going to whack Carl's arm off!

Neegan is awesome...so much better of villain than the Gov. The whole time he was messing with Rick, I was thinking of an owner trying to break a dog. Like others before...when I saw it was Abraham I was like "ehh, that sucks". But when Glenn got it, my jaw dropped. Awesome first episode.

The accuracy for the Glenn death with the eyeball was awesome.

That was excellent. As much as it sucks to loose some of the main characters, it's the only way to keep the show from getting stale.

Outstanding episode. Loved how Rick looks at zombies at end of the show, realizing how things have changed, and they are just not the same kind of threat they once were, compared to what lies in front of them now

Great episode (even if fakeout on "not" killing Glen was entirely predictable and cheap drama). Negan is so much better than the Governor that I think he may just be able to carry a show that is too often slow and uninteresting. I'm a little worried, though, that Daryl has been soft written out, even if just for a while.

Kind of like seeing Rick realize what a minor league bitch he is.

Daryl has absolutely been sotfly written out. My guess is that he comes back as a villain. That way his death (which is inevitable) won't sting so bad. I think it's probably coming this season.

This. I'd be surprised if there was actually 30 minutes of "show" last night.

I did not like how in the last 2 episodes they only focused on one thing - Carol last week with the new, weird group and then just Daryl last night. I like it better whent they jump around and go back and forth (past and future). I thought both episodes were pretty boring. Agree as well on the commericals.

Sounds like we are finally getting back to Rick and the gang next week and it is actually going to be a 90 minute episode.

Last 2 episodes have been pretty blah. I understand "character development" but good grief...don't need to bring the action to a screeching halt
