Most teams have 5 games in...let's hear your thoughts.

My top 5 teams:

1. Patriots
2. Vikings
3. Cowboys
4. Falcons
5. Broncos

In the discussion: Steelers, Raiders, Eagles

Not sure: Seahawks/Packers

Trending up: Bills

Most surprising (good) teams: Eagles, Cowboys, Rams

Most surprising (not so good): Panthers, Jets, Chiefs, Bengals

Things you've noticed:

Seems like running backs are getting a bit more of a chance towards a good rushing yard season.

Andy Dalton seems pissed off. Vontaze Burfict returned clean cut and doesn't seem to have that edge.

The Ravens are the Volunteers of the NFL

Sam Bradford is shocking everyone.

Cowboys O-line seems as dominant as they were in the mid 90's

Punt return teams (returning team) continue to be as dumb as ever.

Zeke!

I have never, in my life, cared so little for the NFL.

THat's about all I got.

Fair enough. I get that feeling each year with college basketball.

The AFC wild card is going to be a mess. 9 wins should get it done, assuming the Steelers, Patriots, Broncos/Raiders and Texans take care of their divisional games.

Outside of Oakland, pretty much every other team not leading a division sucks.

Bills are 3-0 since canning their OC. They appear formidable at least.

The 1-4 Chargers have had the lead in games more than every NFL team except for 3. They cannot close.

Still not a believer. They still play at Seattle, at Oakland, vs New England and vs Pittsburgh. Best outcome for them is probably 9-7, I'd throw them in that wild card mix for sure.

Oak is 4-6 in their last 10 home games but Bills schedule has some difficulty, as does the Bengals more so than I originally thought.

Bengals basically need to sweep Baltimore and/or Pittsburgh sweep Baltimore. However, both Cincinnati and Baltimore appear to not have enough to get to the wild card unless they sweep the rest of the AFC North outside of the Steelers.

Bengals losing to Denver and Baltimore losing to Oakland will already put them behind in the WC tiebreakers. With that said, Cincinnati's 3 losses are to teams with a combined 12-3 record, and of course, they go to New England this weekend.

Bengals aren't making the playoffs and they'd get destroyed if they did. There's more holes on the team than just Eifert can fix (if he ever comes back).

Surprised at how bad the Panthers, Jets, and Cardinals have been and how well the Falcons, Vikings, and Raiders have looked.

I didn't expect Cleveland to be winless still, or to have gone through as many QBs as they have. They really could go 0-16. Best chances IMO to win would be the home games vs Cincinnati or San Diego.

Because there are at least 12-15 offenses in the NFL worse?

And he's got a below average QB, a WR corp who are old (Smith), injury prone (Smith and Perriman), one-dimensional (Wallace) and zero talent (Aiken) and 4 RB's, none of who are a complete package (maybe Dixon could be, who knows). Oh, his TE is on his 4th hip, the TE they signed as their starter and their TE of the future are out for the year.

Has he done about what was expected?

That's typical for Browns fans, around week six of the season.

Crazy. Saw/heard some stat about the Browns holding leads in the 3rd quarter (x amount of times- can't remember exactly) this season. Just think if the Browns had Phillip Rivers....

Can't remember the actual stat, but something close. The Chargers are 0-2 when leading games at the 2-minute warning and the rest of the league was 72-0.

As for the firing of the Ravens OC....Havent watched them yet but it seems like Flacco and that offense is doing nothing but dink and dunk....5.9yards per attempt. Somoene has to go and it isnt going to be your QB!

Rookie/1st year QBs have done well. Cardinals are...who we thought they were and not doing as well.
Not real surprised about the bengals being 2-3. Figured they would struggle early offensively with the loss of 2 WR's and the OC and a tough early schedule. If they dont fall to a mutiny I think they can right the ship.

I agree with this. The Ravens have very little talent offensively.

It sounds like the Trestman thing wasn't about a performance thing, it was about Flacco wanting to be able to just sling it and not liking Trestman's plays. Not really sure the move actually produces better results, but it might mean Flacco just slings it like he was the latter part of the year in 2015. As a fan of a rival team, I'm fine with this, the offense won't necessarily be any better, but will have their big spots.

I agree with this, but do you know whom gets the talent and players for the team? GM and ownership. So when a team has a dearth of talent and the offense sucks and they want a fall guy what do you think is going to happen? GM/ownersship fires themselves or you get a coordinator fired?
GM should be on notice as well, but to jolt a team or a side of the ball firing the GM in-season wont do anything. Getting rid of a coordinator and getting a new voice, a new set of play calls can (at times) rejuvenate an offense.
While they wont be world beaters, expect the Ravens offense to loook different and be much more successful going forward.
