Very good advice given here on helping with a move.

The worst is when you say you will help, show up, and they have nothing packed/boxed up and ready to go.

I am at the point in my life now when I can tell the truth and just say I'm too old for that shit.

Ive moved many times in my short life, never asked for help and if I need it, I hire out professionals. To this day, never helped anyone else move either. It's he absolute worst way to spend freetime lol.


Yessssss! We just moved I hired it out. I did not ask anybody for help. And I told the lady I didn't ask for their help so I don't feel Obligated. I offered to pay for a moving company for them so I don't have to fuck with it.

I've helped a handful of guys move. Close friends and family only. I called in all my chips on my last move and that's it. I'll be 'busy' when anybody asks me and the next time I move again...I'll be paying movers.
