I was watching also and all I could think of was one of these people is going to win a lot of money for this performance. And while we're at it, doesn't it cost them money every time they "buy a vowel"? Does anyone else feel that many of the vowel purchases are acts of complete stupidity?? I will say this...whoever coaches them to clap incessantly during practically the entire show is doing a whale of a job. Some of those people probably still haven't stopped clapping..."big money, big money..." To answer the obvious question of why anyone would watch the show if it is so stupid much of the time, I would only say that I've always loved word games and word puzzles. Many of the contestants obviously do not share my interest.
