How hot is that Les Miles seat?

Also, I'm not a ND fan, but I can't stand Brian Kelly. Just pretty much blamed his players after the game. I'd want a different coach

If I was a Notre Dame booster I'd say offer the moon to Tom Herman to come to South Bend. Would be an immediate upgrade, though I would hate it as an Ohio State fan since I want Herman to take over after Urban, lol.

"Actually, that's probably the one area that I feel better about today," Kelly said. "We did what I wanted today in terms of coaching. And coaching had nothing to do with the outcome today. I was pleased from that perspective." - Kelly, on the coaching staff.

Lol. Fuck that guy. Always thought he was a douche.

There could be some big time jobs opening up this season. Just guessing but LSU, ND, Auburn, Penn St., USC

I used to like Brian Kelly but after this year and the comments he just made, fuck that guy. I'd get rid of him and throw all the money possible at Herman

With the Miles firing, Saban becomes the longest tenured coach int he SEC.

It's interesting to me that only 28 of the 128 FBS programs have a coach that has been in place for 5 or more years.

Really just comes down to a few factors.

1. Team does worse than expected over a period of time: coach fired.

2. Team does really well over a period of time at any non-powerhouse: coach goes to bigger, more prestigious school.

3. Powerhouse team does really well for a while to build super-high yearly expectations (or simply always has those high expectations), but has a drop-off from those expectations for a while: coach fired.

And with all the additional media/talk via the internet, social media, etc., those expectations get high for any team that's remotely a national name. Guys like your Bowdens and Paternos who just stuck around the same team for an eternity are going to be a very rare breed down the road, I think. Coach at a big-time program and have amazing success over 20-30 years? Not the easiest thing to do. I mean, you have your exceptions to the rule (like Kirk Ferentz, who's had good success at a more mid-tier major conference school and everyone involved is perfectly happy with that), but overall nowadays, it's a rapidly-shifting profession.

Three landscape games next week.

Washington/Stanford
Michigan/Wisconsin
Clemson/Louisville

If Louisville wins in Death Valley, for intents and purposes, sets up a Louisville vs Houston game on November 17th for a Final Four spot.

I expect Michigan to handle Wisconsin.
