It's August 25th and MLB.com has our Tribe with a 91% chance of winning the division and a 96% chance of making the postseason. I'm not willing to bet on those type of odds quite yet...but we are in a great spot.

I think this is THE SERIES the rest of way. September is full of division games (we have owned the division this year) and home series vs Houston and Miami.

4 games in Texas. I think if we win the series you can make your deposits on playoff tickets. Personally, with how the offense has looked the last 3 games...I would take a split and get out of town in heartbeat. If we lay 4 eggs down there and get swept...we could let DET and KC right back in it. So let's get 2 or 3 of these and get back home.

First 3 at 8:05 Eastern. Sunday at 3:05.

Thursday

Tomlin vs Hamels- Hamels in the CY Young race. Despite the loss 2 nights ago, the Tribe have had great success vs lefties (we'll see 3 this series). 25-13. The key tonight? Can Tomlin keep it in the yard? We know the ball is going to fly summertime in Arlington. I think the Tribe will play a lot better this series. Hard to get up to play vs Oakland in that shit hole with 1000 fans in the crowd. Big crowds this weekend...first place team. Should be rowdy...I think our boys will have some extra energy. Really looking forward to it.

Rest of the series.

Friday
Kluber vs Perez

Saturday
Cookie vs Griffin

Sunday
Salazar vs Holland

Go Tribe.

Go TBone. GO TRIBE.

edit: I think we split, with Carrasco & Kluber getting w's, and Tomlin and Salazar getting rocked (neither will get past the 4th inning)...that being said, I'll take the split and gtfo of town.

Just to keep things in perspective...the Rangers just came off a 3 game losing streak. Lost 2 straight to lose a series in Tampa and then were shutout by the Reds. Both last place teams. They beat the Reds yesterday to end the skid.

Unbelievable...33 home runs given up by Tomlin...I think it's time to elevate Clevenger to full time starter.

For Salazar? Cuz now we got two guys getting lit up. Tomlin looked good for the first 5 batters... This giving up home runs is gross

yup, and he did it again...well, I was off by a batter--he went 4-1/3---pathetic (yeah, I know, Napoli's error hurt, but he didn't give up two bombs)

Tomlin has been figured out it seems. It's honestly amazing he went about a calendar year of very good pitching, cause his stuff is Triple A.

Napoli's not only slumping, he's committed two errors in the bottom of the 5th--this shit's contagious

I don't know what the Rangers are going to do in the postseason but I do like their team. Their offense may get outmatched by a stud playoff pitcher but I like the blend of their offense and player types.

All things working fair they should probably lose to Cleveland in the division series but sports are often not fair.

We definitely need a win tonight.... This is what aces do... Stop losing streaks.. Restore order.

It's going to take a gem tonight. Perez is another non dynamic starter we should be able to hit but the bats are cold.

Especially since the up and down tigers are currently on a winning streak. Not to mention the Royals have been hot lately.

However, nice change of pace to not be down by 3 after 2 innings.
