Only counts as 1 loss. We were due for some run differential regression. Twins are throwing some rags at us the next couple. Just need our starters to remember to show up.

Well, the sun came up today and we are still in 1st place.
Love Tito but sometimes he does things that baffle me. Why put Miller in the game in that situation? The guy a competitor and pitches in close/tied games or with the lead. Hard for him to get juiced up to make his debut on the back end of a thrashing. Throw him right into the fire the next time the situation warrants...hopefully today.

They sent him for a MRI on the elbow after the game. I could see him going on the DL soon even if there is nothing wrong just to give his arm some restLaley23;1805334 wrote:I agree. Been worried about it since he missed the ASG.

Had some questions about the thread title. Cleveland has a large Eastern European heritage and Minnesota is largely Scandinavian/Norwegan in heritage. Polka music is big in both cultures......so that's the rest of the story.

In related news...I was at a festival over the weekend and they had a Polka band mixing in with the traditional classic rock cover band....I wanted to Polka My Ears Out.

Polka Floyd plays a gig at the German-American Festival annually. They seem to at least be talented. The hacks I saw last weekend were just that...hacks.vball10set;1805378 wrote:

Salazar officially to the DL for elbow inflammation. Hopefully that is all it is.

I have seen Polka Floyd before and I agree with TBone that they are at least talented and enjoyable in a strange way.

I'm not glad that he's hurt, but it's good to know there's a reason behind his crappy pitching of late...hopefully he'll heal quickly and get back to his winning ways.TBone14;1805399 wrote:Salazar officially to the DL for elbow inflammation. Hopefully that is all it is.

Figured that was coming. Smart move to give him some rest. We need him for the stretch runTBone14;1805399 wrote:Salazar officially to the DL for elbow inflammation. Hopefully that is all it is.

Didn't knock on wood. Carrasco can't put the 9 hitter away 0-2. He doubles and Tribe killer Dozier parks one.TBone14;1805433 wrote:Cookie has dealt 2 scoreless and today is starting better than yesterday.

TV guys saying Callaway gave Perez an earful the entire break. He didn't throw the pitches but maybe this is an unexpected consequence of the Gomes injury.vball10set;1805436 wrote:Unbelievable--another starting pitcher getting knocked around...it's going to be a loooong second half
