It was the Minnesota governor, which is even more screwed up. Likely, that shooting was an overreaction by a cop unsure of what to do while the guy was reaching for his license.

It just pisses me off that everything has to be a jumped to conclusion. Just because the victim is black doesn't always mean it is due to racism. In Louisiana can't it just be a criminal who was shot resisting arrest? And in Minnesota can't it be a freak accident (which if they were white is this not what it would be called)? But instead elected officials push the race button and these protests and people mocking police is what you get. I'm not going to blame blm on this fiasco (you know waiting for evidence before jumping to conclusion like a normal person), but news sources reported them mocking police even while bullets were flying, which is a bullshit way to act.

In Minnesota, that wasn't a "freak death" lol

I agree with your overall point, but when you ask a man for identification and then shoot him dead when he reaches for that, that isn't a "freak death".

Not saying it's due to racism. It was due to gross negligence on that officer's part.

Lol agree with that.

Although it's none of my "actual" friends. Just people I've met along the way.

I'm not saying the guy shouldn't be held accountable. But it's retarded to say it happened because he's black. And I highly doubt the guy said "let me see your license" and then shot him in the chest as he reached for it. Something occurred to spook the cop and he fucked up. But again, neither of us know what happened. Call it gross negligence, call it poor training, it doesn't matter. But the whole jumping to conclusions by everyone only does damage to these situations.

And looking back, once the facts come out, numerous stories and feelings have changed. But the protests and hurt feelings had already occurred.

When a cop says 'don't reach for it' and 'put your hands on the dashboard', do it...and when a cop says 'stop resisting', do it. If you feel you've been wronged, then get a hold of one of the millions of attorneys at your disposal and press charges...and fwiw, I hope they give the death penalty to these four idiots who ambushed the cops in Dallas.

Stupid dumbf**** that don't deserve to be in a position of leadership and authority..... but they get their cues from those in charge in Washington.
I said this last night after the dumbf*** Minnesota Gov and the Prez weighed in on the tragic shootings....

...and here it is.... the wringing of the hands.

Worse, this is a triple treat for the Divider in Chief with guns and concealed carry involved.... In another statement this AM he pulled in some more of his favorite narratives.....linking this to people being "armed with powerful weapons". Nowhere is there a call for peace, calmness, responsibility.

That is not what community agitators do.

I understand your sentiment, but the majority of black people are no more responsible for this than the cops who were shot last night were responsible for the incidents in Minnesota or New Orleans

This is exactly true, just as there is no organized, systemic racism within the country's police force. Do you have racist cops that abuse their authority? Yes, and they need to be prosecuted and rooted out. But when you have leadership issuing irresponsible blanket condemnation and indictment of the system or the police force in general you can expect this sort of thing to happen...
People are nuts

...when a few on the fringe are incited to take matters into their own hands.
The words of people in leadership positions carry weight....they can inspire, they can incite. The remarks of the governor and the President were inciting and wringing your hands of the situation and yammering on with the gun control narrative is irresponsible leadership in a crisis situation.

This is what reckless looks like.....or stupidity. But, it has happened all too frequently to think it isn't deliberate.

It's so funny that people get upset about BLM and POTUS for spreading blanket assumptions about police. But then criticize the President when he won't do blanket assumptions about Islam.

I believe that's the individual that was previously reported as having committed suicide.

And I'm not sure the data supports that. The very small number of bad shootings, out of millions of arrests each year, is little evidence other than cops make mistakes. Although it's very difficult to study, more than a few have suggested controlling for local demographics of the incident, and education/income, makes the disparities largely disappear. Now, the justice system is probably a different story.

Anyone see the video of the news reporter asking the guy if his brother was the shooter and the guy says no, and then the reporter asks him if he thinks his brother has the skills to snipe from the top of a building lol like wtf?

The media is so awful.

I truly don't think the world is THAT messed up. It's just that every time something like this happens the media acts like the world is burning down. For example, the headlines all over CNN "WORST POLICE RELATED KILLINGS SINCE 9/11!!!"

Like why the fuck are you comparing this to 9/11? Just because that's a fact doesn't mean you should use that as a tag line to get clicks.

Some of the articles I read spent almost as much type on explaining what people were protesting (as if people might no know LOL). Which struck me as a backhanded way of blaming the police for this.

At a macro level, the ever-increasing militarization of police forces is troubling to me.

At a micro level, see ya, asshole.

Blm is basically a hate organization, so I don't think any reasonable/ educated person gives a shit about their opinion.
