I'll give the Cavs credit for pulling it off this year. But no way Golden State loses next year if healthy

Used to like Durant a lot. Joining forces with other stars is what LeBron did too, so I won't hold that against him.

What I hold against him is wanting to play with those assholes. There isn't a whinier bunch of guys in the league, and I can't stand them. Durant is the same to me now.

Can't wait to play them in the Finals next year. They will not gel well in the first year. Too many people that want the ball.

LeBron did similar. But Miami was NOT what GSW are. Wade was proven. Bosh was an unknown on a real team. He went to a team that was middle of the pack the prior year, not the all time greatest*. Not the team that knocked them out of the playoffs. It's similar, but a lot different when you break it down. Pretty lame.

Also, Durant leaves a team with Russ and Oladipo, among other solid players. LBJ left Mo Williams lol.

I guess laley is right. This isn't simply joining with other stars. It's going to the team that just eliminated you, and also a team that has been to two straight Finals (winning one of them). Durant better get criticized beyond belief for this. Hopefully chasing rings backfires on him.

It just makes it worse to me, personally, because I fucking despise Curry, Green, and Thompson.

This.

I don't mind him leaving, even though I think he is leaving a really, really good team that is in a position to win a championship.

It's that he's basically saying "I'll never be able to get by golden state, so I'm just going to go join them!"

It's beyond a bitch move.

Well, that's the kiss of death to Golden State's championship aspirations next year.

Everyone on Twitter pointing out in 2010 him blasting other free agents for joining Miami or Los Angeles.

You're right it's totally gutless as well. It's not like GS wiped the floor with them.

So what the hell does okc do now?

If I were them, I'd think about trading RW before he inevitably leaves next season.

Also, Warriors are not locks to win a championship next season. Typically when super teams come together, they win a title in their second year, not their first.

And they'll be losing Bogut, Barnes, Ezeli, and likely Iguodola. Those four guys were a major reason for their success over the last two seasons.

I don't mind him going there and will be very happy when they don't win it all. It will knock Curry back even further in the top player talk.

I predict some cohesion troubles and then 1-2 significant injuries. I still think Curry or Klay causes trouble with fewer shots.

Also, Westbrook maybe just became the MVP favorite.

It's going to be the team to beat in the NBA but honestly its not a huge deal. They won't mesh well because there isn't enough shots to go around. It's also a 1+1 deal so I could see them losing in the playoffs and Durant leaving again.

Biggest hit is to Durant's legacy. What a bitch.
