The Rays also have 4 Outfielders on the DL. They started a player....Decker...who got called us after hitting .233 in AAA. He's like 1 for 19 since his call up. They are on struggle street. If Bauer is good and Archer doesn't have his A+ stuff...we should have a great chance to sweep the homestand.HitsRus;1801122 wrote:Kluber is back to form....took a 1 hit shutout into the ninth. One thing that caught my eye today and how the game has changed. The Indians ( a first place team) fielded a starting lineup with 4 hitters batting .230 or less.... the Rays had 7 hitters batting under .230. In the old days, guys who hit that were utility players.

So I was looking up standings and stats. 2 games up...good. 10 games above .500...good. +62 run diff...really good. And then I scrolled down to the NL. THE CUBS RUN DIFF IS +169. WHAT?!?!

Should really be a tremendous crowd tonight. A million + people downtown today for the parade...you would think 35,000 of them would pickup a ticket to watch the Tribe. What is the capacity now with the renovations? It was, what, almost 45k before the renovations? Lots of seats gone but lots more room for SRO and at the bars. I would think 35-37, right?

It was 43k and some before, it's 35k and some now, but they can jam more on the shipping containers if they had to (no groups ever rent them like they hoped anyway)

Lindor with a great play to end the 7th. Goes as a base hit and RBI, but Lindor dove behind him and into LF and threw back to 3rd to get the 2nd runner rounding to far. Most guys don't make the stop, let alone the subsequent throw back to the 3rd.

Jesus our pitching is scary. Tomlin gave up 3 earned runs on Monday and is the goat of the series.
Back to back complete games for Kluber and Bauer.
Clean sweep. Perfect homestand. Off day tomorrow and it's off to the D for a weekend series. I'll have the thread up tomorrow sometime.
