I'm allergic to cats. Our friend over the past two years have gotten 4 cats.
At first I could handle it for a few hours the itching, red,watery eye, runny nose and difficult breathing would continue after we left their house. Now they have 4 cats no matter how much allergic medication I would take it not going to work.
They invited the wife and I over to play cards on Saterday .... Told the wife hell no, not going.
why should I make myself missable, take medication I don't need and still suffer hours afterwords.

I like them as a friends and willing to do things with them but not in that dander filled house, it not worth it to me ... To suffer just to play cards around 4 cats...

I'm telling them we will no be coming over ...... Ever.

We have 2 cat. One inside other outside. Im not allergy to them, one kitten, one adult, not allergy. Cat good micers. Like cats wife does.

I'm sure they're crushed.

Tell them the truth...nicely. ...that you have cat allergies. Offer to host the card party at your house. problem solved.

Yeah, it's not exactly rocket science. You have an allergy. Their pets cause your allergy. Offer to be the host for social events involving them so you don't have to deal with allergic reactions.
