Was it 1982? Our school is compiling a top 10 list for the distance events and need to know when to use the conversions.

1982 sounds about right to me. I graduated in '81 and we were running on SOME tracks that had already converted to meters. Some tracks were still in yards. I still get nostalgic calling races, the 880, the mile, the two-mile........................
