Now I've got it!!!! Never heard that before -- clever.

TOOTBLAN
Acronym for Thrown Out On The Basepaths Like A Nincompoop.

Baseball statistic invented for Ryan Theriot of the Chicago Cubs, for his penchant for ill-advised steal attempts and general lack of skill running bases.

Theriot's current TOOTBLAN number is 19.

Yeah, it looked like he outran gravity. That ball was going down and it looked like he was further away from it than it traveled to the ground.

I remember the years when thread starters actually all had decent records. I'm afraid this year it's going to be a bunch of us under .500.

Depends on the Cardinals and the Pirates. I think they have a shot at the playoffs.

Want to just keep this one going for the series? Finnegan gets the start tonight. Anxious to see how everyone looks after getting things going late on Monday.

Anyone following Frazier? Having a pretty good game tonight.

Finnegan was great tonight.

Also, I'm not sure there is a ball that Billy can't get to.

I have a feeling this will be the most optimistic we'll be all year lol because it's against the phillies. But damn back to back awesome games.

I have a feeling this is going to be a team who has some talent, but will lose an exciting 88-92 games. They will play much harder, scrappier and execute in situations that have failed them the last 5 years with teals who could've done something. They will win games they "shouldn't win" against teams they "shouldn't beat", probably will be like .500 against St. Louis or some shit.

First example...in the 9th, 2 on, 1 out...Jay Bruce hits an OPPOSITE FIELD single against the shift. How many fucking times could we have used that over the last 5 years?

Of course, in 3 years, when it looks like they can contend, it will be back to falling "just short." Typical for basically every Ohio team...

Weren't they 4-0 last season? Started off immediately hot I know.

Are the Phillies the worst? Padres in 22 innings have been outscored 25-0
