A lot of pissed off people downtown today. Kind of shocked they didn't postpone an hour or so to get field in better shape, or cancel it a lot earlier. Would have sucked to take a day off work, pay for parking, etc. People there said it was actually nicer recently then it was this morning.

Yeah, bad call. Either play it or cancel at 8 AM. They knew what the weather would be. A lot of people took off work/school, to get down there to find parking...no rain check on the $20 parking charge either.A lot of pissed off people downtown today

Still baffles me as to why they don't schedule Northern/Eastern teams to play a road trip out west for 2-3 series to start the year. Maybe this is where they can shorten the season, shorten it on the front end. Start mid/late-April and cut 15 games out from the schedule.

Apparently that has been 0 precipitation yet in Cleveland. Gonna be just as cold tomorrow. Very confused why they cancelled it. They must feel bad (and because no one goes) because they are letting people go tomorrow and a free game in April or May, or don't go tomorrow and get 2 free games. Kudos to them for stepping up, I guess.

Was watching the M's/Rangers yesterday and didn't realize that Tribe alum Franklin Gutierrez batted .292 with 15 home runs in only 59 games for the Mariners last year. That would have about led the Tribe...in 59 games. Must be on the juice because the 4 seasons prior he was really down.

Anyone going today, or take advantage of the 2 games for 1 offer? My dad went yesterday, paid for parking, went to bar, walking to stadium and Policeman told him game was postponed. He wasn't too happy about the timing, but was pretty pumped to get 2 games in return. I think it won't be very close to a sellout today though.

I think the Tribe's offer and remedy is all they could do and is fair.... But they could have avoided it by being smarter by cancelling the game early. I don't know what it is about opening day…but they just make crap decisions... like that one last year(?) to hold up the game's start time to wait for a line of thunderstorms(that were an hour and a half away) to pass thru. Two hours later and twenty five degrees colder the game started ... But the stands were half empty by the 5th inning.
