Nice pass, Ingram. Might as well have sent a card with the ball. Fucking stupid.

I hate this fucking Duke team.
You cannot let your opponent score 16 unanswered points. You just can't do it.

The only time I've ever been more angry over a basketball game came when Indiana erased a 17-point deficit to beat Duke in the 2002 Sweet 16. The image of Mike Davis on his knees sobbing like a baby after Jason Williams was fouled on a made three-pointer, which bought me a few moments of false hope, and then running around the court like a jubilant asshole after Williams missed the free throw is still burned into my head.
Today was vintage Duke of the last decade. Build a big lead and then play the rest of the game terrified of losing. They just don't have that ruthless determination to win anymore. The last Duke team that had that was captained by Shane Battier. Those Duke teams didn't just win; they demoralized their opponents. The hungrier team won today.

Lol tell us how you really feel, I'm just messing with you rec. it is pretty crazy that ND has beaten duke 5 out of the last 6. It's been nice to actually enjoy some success of ND basketball recently. I still think if we would have held on to that game against Kentucky last year. ND would have won it all.reclegend22;1785723 wrote:Agreed.

My favorite moment in Indiana basketball since I've been alive (not counting 87, which I have no memory of). More blocking Boozer will forever be etched into my mind.reclegend22;1785723 wrote:Agreed.

That at was throwback basketball though, spread the floor with shooters and
let the 3 6-10+ men go to work (Jeffries, Odle and Newton).

So that's what Notre Dame looks like when they're not playing Duke. Sigh. I'm not happy Carolina won, but I'm also not sad they busted Notre Dame's ass.
It's hard to believe the Heels have played in five of the last six ACC title games and lost all of them.

The 2001-02 Indiana Hoosiers were one of the two best three-point shooting teams I've ever seen in my time watching college basketball. What they did to Kent State in the regional final was just beautiful basketball. IIRC, Indiana hoisted 19 shots from beyond the arc, sinking 15 of them. They all could have shot blindfolded that night.Laley23;1785737 wrote:My favorite moment in Indiana basketball since I've been alive (not counting 87, which I have no memory of). The other is 2001 Duke, which set an NCAA record for three-pointers made (407) and attempted (1,057) in a season. That team could spread the floor as well as any I've ever seen. If records were kept for most threes made from beyond NBA range, that team would own it.

They were incredible from behind the arc...and at a time where the 3pt shot wasn't utilized the way it is now. They set the B1G record with 16 threes in a game I believe vs Minny. Has since been broken, but the game has changed. In my eyes, if those guys played now, they might be the GSW of CBK.

The officiating in this Miami/Virginia game has been completely 1 sided in favor of Virginia. It's gross.

Carolina vs. Virginia for the ACC Championship, and possibly for a #1 seed, tomorrow night!
