You have to give him some credit. Despite being a failure since Florida, he's still trying to find new and ambitious things to fail at. And who knows? If everything works out for him, he might be able to boast that he had a higher batting average in the low minors than Michael Jordan.

Apparently a team in the frontier league already offered. They will do anything for butts in seats. He wont make it to the big leagues. MAYBE if he was a pitcher, blasted mid 90's he may have been able to but he is going as a position player and I just don't see him being able to hit the ball well enough to ever get the call.

I give him credit though for trying. Of course, his fame gives him extra opportunities to follow on your dreams but hell, why not try if ya get the chance right?

If Jose Altuve goes 0 for his next 98, he'll still be over .300

Goodbye Arod and Teixeira , hello Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge. Both are 2/3 and both homered back to back in the first career AB

Judge's HR was 457 ft to dead center.

Despite being gloriously mediocre for most of this season and coming out of the trade deadline looking more like minor sellers than anything else, the Pirates are somehow only one game out of the wild card. In a three-team battle for it (or four, the Mets are only 3 back of the St. Louis Bitches and two back of the Pirates/Marlins). Weird.

On this date in 1989 Nolan Ryan struck out Rickey Henderson for his 5,000th career strikeout and went on to lead MLB at age 42 with 301 strikeouts. AFTER his 5,000th strikeout season he returned at age 43 and led the league in strikeouts and returned at age 44, led the league in strikeouts per 9 innings, had his 7th no-hitter and struck out 16 in a game.

And they haven't won since I've posted this, showing no offensive ability at home. Good job, me!

Didn't really think anything of that until I saw he still plays in the MLB. Smh

Thought it was another deadbeat who didn't pan out as the #1 pick because of legal issues and no one ever heard from him again. But nope, despite hitting women, felonious assault and battery charges, and you know, running over a man's god damn head with his car, he's still pitching for the Rangers.

So could Trout, Donaldson, Altuve, Machado, Betts, Ortiz

But he's killing it to say the least

should be Altuve, but sentimentality will give it to Ortiz

Trout is WAR king and Betts has a better chance than Ortiz IMO.
