Is it just me or does it seem like A LOT of "potential" semi matches are more like finals match-ups?! :thumbdown:

I was thinking the same thing 132 Brady vs Mattox potential semi, 285 Teacher vs Roseberry potential Semi. oh well.. gotta win either way if it's the semi's or the finals.. just win baby!

Yes...just win baby. The only problem is that it makes it VERY difficult to make it to the Schott for those who have to beat one of these studs in the consi-semis. Almost no chance, for the kid that has to beat DiSabito/Mead or Mattox/Brady to get out.

We counted 50% of the weight classes are like this. Great for fans; not so much for that kid trying to secure that fourth spot who now has to get through them.

I agree with both of you guys, dropping a hammer to the conso's is going to stop a potential kid from making it. I think it happens every year but this year seems to be way more than previous years. I'll be at Darby with my 7th grader(first year wrestler) cheering the wrestlers on!

(Shameless plug here but...) I would suggest taking a look at at least a handful of #WhiteBoardPredictions weight classes (if not all!

Oh, I am very familiar with you and Mr. Penn and appreciate everything you guys do for the sport of Wrestling. I watch every episode and always attend random season meets, sectionals, Darby Districts, and already have an all session book for the state meet. I had a Son graduate from Logan Elm in 2011 and my youngest Son just started competing, Sean will know who I am as he always speaks to me and asks "what are you doing here man"? as he and I graduated from the same HS.cruiser_96;1782932 wrote:Great to read!

Last night I went to watch one of the members of our youth group play a basketball game. I left straight from practice. She asked what time I'd be home. I said 9p. She responded "9p or 9a???" Silly girl.

I would be in favor of a separation criteria at least. Something similar to the state tournament, but I could see that getting tricky at the district level.

So I'm listening to Mike & Mike on 97.1 FM on my way into work this morning and what do I hear - Mike Greenberg has two guests with him to host the show because Mike Golec is out. And where ISSSSSS Mike Golec??????? That's right, Las Vegas.
Well, well, well... It appears that Cthelites and Mike Golec are buddies. Pals. Friends. Cronies, if you will. Unbelievable. All these years hanging with CTL is a big-wig who takes time to say hi to us little folks. If that doesn't make a man feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside I'm really not sure what will. Happy Vegas-ing and say hi to Mike from all of us on the Chatter!
